Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Hmm! This solicitation is for publications shipping in December. Looks like it was moved up a bit.
So, this prints all the core TMS comics, not the "Muppet Classics" comics? Cool. It'll be nice to have them all in one place, and at a decent size. Those small collections wreck my poor...
Grinding along at level 19 over here, stockpiling lots of food against hopefully-imminent need. And in the meantime I've been playing My Singing Monsters, which this game was based on. And, lemme tell you, it is ridiculously fun to listen to those monsters jam and play around with their...
I don't think you should avoid the ending of the TV show because a movie of whatever quality might or might not come out. The show was meant to stand on its own, and the ending was...well, perfect, in my opinion. Go ahead and watch it, I say.
I'd like to see viral videos. Just small, anecdotal things a few minutes long. They could be done on the cheap, with just a few sets (heck, even paintings greenscreened in!) and the puppets they've already rebuilt. These would show that the Fraggles are still alive, and hopefully get people's...
Awww, thank you! I'm glad that, even though it couldn't do anything for your throat, you enjoyed this story that much. It was fun to write, but at the same time kinda nerve-wracking. I was always triple-checking to make sure I didn't mess up the continuity or get him out of character.
The...
I've never used the old stuff, so I can't compare old with new. I've heard that if you want the new to behave more like the old you can brush it to loosen the fibers up.
I'd buy these in a hot second if they were on CD. I like physical media. Heck, I'd buy them in MP3 form if they weren't going to be tied to an iDevice.
(Strange words from an author whose book is on iTunes, but it's also available for download from other sites and in physical format as well.)
All I can say is good luck. Considering how much demand there has been for it since they stopped production and then replaced it with "Antron Lite", I'd be surprised if there was a square inch anywhere outside of a locked puppetry supply vault.
(When did the changeover happen? Anyone know?)
Not that I plan to buy the game, but poo. Muppets would be a good addition to that game.
Still, I hope these figures get made. I'd get one of each. Maybe two of Miss Piggy so she could high-five herself.
Dunno about "sports bra Gonzo" though...
I've been having kitchen trouble for the last week or so too. I need Walter, Rizzo, Kermit, and Beaker, but I get Big Mo, Veggies, Kizzy, and Jax. At least I can place 'em and then sell 'em for a chunk of change.
Sadly, I didn't. I took very few photos, actually, because my hands were usually inside a puppet. Maybe I'll find some pics of her in the albums people post of their D*C photos.
Ah, him I remember. I was impressed by his performance. He had Kermit's stammer down pat, a detail which makes him seem so much more real to me. I made sure to compliment him. Alas, I didn't have the presence of mind to take a photo with him.
Ha! I'd forgotten about that bit. As I remember it, Red was shocked when she found out that Frith was married to *Mokey.* And then came the Cotterpin line. I'll have to see if I can find that bit in the panel audio so I can put down the exact line.
I'm glad that you had such a good time at...
I met a lot of puppeteers and puppet builders at all stages of skill at Dragon*Con this past weekend. When beginners asked me about building puppets, I told them to get some cheap materials and just go to it. Play with cheap foam and fleece, learn how to work with it, and don't be afraid to...
Ziffeled! I'd edit this into my previous post, but for some reason it doesn't want to let me edit it.
Write an article about the con? I'd have to organize my thoughts a lot better than I did for the above post. I may give it a try, though.
One thing I learned the hard way at Dragon*Con...
