If there's anything I find disappointing is that this cartoon did indeed prove there was a potential for at least a Mixopolis cartoon series. Too bad it was the last episode. Sure, on the one hand I would have liked to have seen more name Mixels from past waves come in and wave about in a...
I've been saying this since Sesame Street got HBO's money. HBO doesn't really have a wealth of kid's programming, and blah blah blah streaming and being on a premium channel and all, I could see them reacquiring rights to an older show and remastering it, rather than spending the money and time...
I caught the first new episode. The animation is better, but it's all about subtly. The frame rate seems to have been taken down a bit, making it look more like an animated cartoon series's usual frame rates. Little things like head turns and expressions have improved, but again, subtly. I'd...
For the most part, I can totally take Spitting Image's uncanny valley puppets, but this Cher parody manages to get kinda disturbing near the end with an effect to make her look like her face is being stretched out. And yes, the son'g about her getting plastic surgery.
Huh.
Didn't realize it...
Well, that's what happens when you make an episode around inside jokes. They're not going to translate. Take this Japanese version of both songs:
Seems they just slowed them down instead of having deep voiced men sing.
What makes this make less sense is that Gumball is dubbed by an adult...
Uh... well, Duckula may not have got a reboot yet, but there's...uh...this apparently.
Uhhhhhhhhhh....Yeah, yeah. I totally remember that episode where a live human randomly appeared in their house carrying a Super Soaker. One of the classics right up with No Sax, Please.
If the first pass didn't take.
Seriously. This looks like a labor of love from Del Toro, where as Trolls looks like a not worst case scenario for a movie made to sell toys. It's obvious that DW wants Trolls to be a big brand, since the toys hit stores over a month and a half before the film's...
Yeah, but I don't think that really counts, as CN runs a cluster of TTG episodes at a time, seemingly mindlessly. That's something that just so happens when you air a show as many times as day as they do.
Loved this episode about Teddy passive aggressively buying a boat and trying to rub it in his ex's face, only for it to backfire horridly. And I like the reasonable spin on the fact that Tina can't get a cell phone in an era where everyone has one because the restaurant isn't that successful...
Even if Little Bird were part of the equation, I'm still going with Prairie. I'd say it's a case of quite the opposite here. They not only got the character, but they let her evolve from just being a caricature of a precocious little girl to the sane girl in a world of madness. Something they...
Maybe it's just because I love Chris Parnell and all, but I actually like the box commercials for Progressive. They're so much more fun than the Flo ones, no matter how hard they try and make them self deprecating (which makes them worse when they do).
Actually, I really like the one where the...
Hank has become one of my favorite Pixar characters after seeing the film. There's so many unanswered questions that feel like they could have been, but they wanted to keep the pacing peppy enough for film runtime. Something that's a habit with Pixar films. I'd love to see more Hank of some...
Well....
Birth of a Nation isn't so much a remake of the original so much that it's not anything like the original outside of the name. And that's by design, taking the name and power away from the pro-KKK propaganda piece by making a movie against the subject. Which I can respect and admire...
Dory crossed the one billion mark worldwide.
Hope this means if this gets another film, we'll either get one explaining why Hank hates the ocean so much or follows the stories of the tank gang.
Little Bird intrigues me. He's all over the merchandise and has almost always been, yet is a character barely used since the early days of the show. Sure, you could see the "Casa" skit well into the 90's, but even I can't remember seeing Little Bird being used in anything much else off the top...
They never really made adult t-shirts of at the moment kid's show back when the show was around. Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain I did see a fair amount of, though that's in part with WB studio stores being a thing when they were on. Maybe there were some Ren and Stimpy shirts, but that...
I can see why they'd do it, considering the Chipmunks are kids, while the Tony Hale character and the woman handing him the drinks are full grown adults. Like I said countless times before, it's not as if they never censored lyrics in Chipmunks covers to the point of strangely overly safe...
It's painfully obvious THIS should have been the Troll based movie Dreamworks should have released:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=116&v=J2oNgZlbSKI
Yes, I'm glad it's an animated series and it managed to live on as one instead of going to the Dreamworks graveyard with B.O.O. and...
