Playhouse boxes
Since these were release many video stores have cut the packaged to fit into clamshells or put a protective plastic case around the package.
When originally released these tapes came in a package that was the same size as regular VHS tapes, but you could open a flap on the...
Not Official
Emmet could arrive anytime between Sept and Dec. I'm just saying that mamy stores put out Xmas titles aroudn October... so to paraphrase the frog:
Don't start counting your tadploes before they're hatched.. it still has to be officially announce.
:)
Too bad Kermit won't...
"Snap"
getting it out of those **** snapper cases is "Special " enough for me : )
rasafra-stinking-snapper cases...
but yeah, more extras as in CONTENT would be nice.
Wow MC edits dam with an "N" at the end......intersesting....
Covers
Yeah TMM cover is at least using images of the charaters as they appeard in then movie but I thought they were going to use the original logos.
The last GMC cover was really great, this one, meh....
The thing that gets me is what makes these releases so "special" if they are only 1...
DVD covers
I remember reading on Ulitmate Disney or somewhere that the stylized DVD covers would be in this order:
S1: Kermit -Green w/ lighter Green color
S2: Piggy - Pink w/ white pearls
S3: Fozzie - Brown w/ polka dot tie
S4: Gonzo - Purple tux
S5: Scooter - Green back of his jacket...
Fuz VS non-Fuz
After buying my set at Best Buy, I went o Traget and saw the Fuzzy version. Persoanlly, I liek the non-fuzzy version better as it matches the rest of the box and will aloow more to fit on the shelves.
Also mine didn't come w/ a mail-in rebate?
Anybody else missing it?
Not quite...
Not quite.. Muppet DK just posted on Tough Pigs that the Vincent Price episode is missing "you've got a friend" as well as Wayne and Wanda and the Newsman!
Edits...
here's my 2 cents aboiut this whole edited pitch reel fiasco.
If Disney threw the pitch reel on the set as an Easter egg or as a hidden bonus not listed anywhere, still edited as it is now, I might be a little less ******. Simply because it would then be a happy surprise to find...
80's endings
In the 80's they made a few different animated JHP logo endings that happend after Zoot blew his final note.
I somewhat agree to this:
"2) There was absolutely no chance that Disney - or anyone else - would have used the original clips, since they have ATV/ITC copyrights and...
Thanks.
I'm a little annoyed that they added a "Muppet Studios" bumper to the episodes and the aren't using the original endings.
I mean there' a laugh track audible because funny stuff is happening to Zoot. If they use the same Zoot clip everytime it just doesn't make sence.
TMM edits...
What was cut from earlier and other releases?
I've seen many video incarnations of the 2 movies and I've seen slight things here and there..
The most glaring to me is the weird cut in the last few releases during "Can you Picture That?"
Also, I love the shot from the...
That Announcer:
The Zoot bumble ending was added in the 80's during the syndicated repeats. As was the shade flipping up and the Jim henson Productions letters flying off, and others.
Muppet DK:
Haven started to watch the set,
Are the original endings intact, with Zoot blowing the...
Mathis
Johnny Mathis was crooner kinda like Sinatra, but without the Rat Pack mystique.
He still had many fans around the world from what I hear, and he was also a guest on Muppets Tonight!, In which he came and sang to Jonny Fiamma's mom after she kicked out Johnny and Sal's new girlfriends...
