This is one of many puppets my mom built for me when I was little. I've since named her Konnie, and have imagined her as a wise old peacenik seeking out nothing more than mutual understanding between all beings.
@D'Snowth I'd recommend convertinmp4.com -- it's very straightforward, but you might want to watch out for popups. Have an adblocker ready, or at least a swift mouse.
Adobe is actually discontinuing development of Flash by 2020, so that doesn't help the matter. Their Flash creator suite has since been renamed Animator, since it is still a popular tool for professional animation.
The thing about a forum is it's a place where people talk about things. When people talk about things, there are times where people have opinions that aren't always agreeable, times when people cite incorrect facts or sources, or people whose thoughts are too ahead of what the laymen can...
As far as I've understood, it has been nothing terribly important, or anything that will tamper with your YouTube channel. Just some tutorial videos and resources they've created for the success of content creators. Or so I assume. I never bothered to read them.
In recent years, Grinch Night, Pontoffel Pock and some of the other late 70s/early 80s Seuss specials have gotten more of a following, mainly due to The Nostalgia Critic and memes. It's always assuring seeing the 'You put your glasses back on and face the facts!' meme on Tumblr every now and...
@The Count It is a custom Palisades figure. A Kermit is shown next to it for size comparison. He appears to be about an inch or two smaller. Interestingly, it appears Roosevelt has faux fur for hair instead of sculpted hair.
On that note, anyone know if Dick Maitland's still doing the sound effects? I know he has gotten around to doing other projects after Sesame Street, but he has been doing Sesame Street's sound effects since the beginning, if I recall right.
There is no animation studio or artist credited on the Muppet Wiki article for the Hero Guy series, so I can only assume it was the work of one of the in-house graphic designers. Probably Pete Oritz. I wanted to say it was Joey Ahlbum, who also around that time was combining his animation with...
The Workshop has kept a relatively good record of all of their material, thousands of hours of videotapes and films, and everything in between. But there is a reason none of these rare clips show up so often. It's because they didn't test well with kids, and couldn't hold up to the other more...
Looking for more Superted albums. I've recently binged this series and have found a new obsession!
"Comet Of The Spooks," the off-Broadway Superted musical from 1986 has a soundtrack uploaded on YouTube, which I already got.
Prior to the TV series, an LP record was released in 1979, "Superted...
They clearly put a lot of effort into making these animated characters look a lot like actual puppets. I think it's outstanding! Looking forward to seeing more.
True, he swings around a club in The Frog Prince. I'm not sure if he ever does it outside of the dungeon chase scene, it's been a while since I saw it. I don't remember him using his club after being established on the Muppet Show though.
The early 2000s was a weird time for Muppet merchandise...
With Disney's new streaming service, I wonder if they will include any Muppet shows or movies. For that matter, I wonder if they'll have any TV shows. I know Disney's had movies on Netflix, but I don't remember them putting up any shows...
Moomin and Midsummer Madness (2013) - feature length stop motion adaptation of Tove Jansson's book. It was actually a Christmas gift. The stop motion Moomin movies are not the strongest, but have a lot of visual charm. Very detailed and vividly colored, not unlike Tove's original illustrations...
Some Sesame Street skits didn't really have much educational value. Here, for example, is one of my personal favorites, a cartoon about the letter V. Two guys talking to eachother on top of a giant V.
What do we learn from this skit?
"If you hold your fingers like this, you can make a V with...
