Me too! That was the first time I ever did professional quality animation for someone. I'm glad someone saw potential in my little gifs to have me be a part of it. Everyone else added a lot of variety to the project as well, such a lot of detail and inspiration to take in, gives a lot of replay...
Oh man, don't even get me started on McDonaldland Cookies! Mom and I are still to this day disappointed in their decision to remove them. They were so good, cause they weren't just plain old shortbread cookies, they had a bit of a vanilla and cinnamon thing going on. They were perfect, but now...
They could just as well bring back one of their older slogans and still get by with it, seeing as everything old is new again. I wonder how far back they'll go? "You deserve a break today"? "McDonalds is our kind of place"? "It's a good time for the great taste of McDonalds"?
I'm very proud of my style too, so I'm glad you enjoy it! I always liked cartoons that were older than I was, and even some of the newer cartoons that were on when I was a kid took influence from those 50s/60s cartoons. That sleek and modern and simple and iconic design.
Wobbly told me that...
Well friends, it was a fantastic evening, and it was full of surprises, and I had a great time doing it! Hopefully you'll have a great time watching it too, if you missed out the first time. The show has been recorded to twitch, and later it will also be available on YouTube.
Folks, I’m gonna be appearing on a live show on Twitch.TV this Saturday at 9PM EST! You’ll see my drawing and improv skills put against another artist, and it’s gonna be frantic and fun. See me on the @wobblypython Drawing Circus! Save the date! SATURDAY AT 9PM EST! TWITCH.TV/WOBBLYPYTHON – COME...
You know what else the Muppets will probably never do? Anything artistic.
Some friends and I were watching a puppetry special hosted by Jim Henson, and it reminded me of just how much respect for puppetry as an art form Jim Henson had. The Muppet Show brought on more sophisticated puppet acts...
After the HBO/Sesame Workshop deal, I suppose they figured it'd be cheaper just to run the American Sesame Street on British TV again. Gonger, a character from Furchester, has recently become a regular on Sesame Street in the "Foodie Truck" segments.
There's a bit of a lisp between "sounds like" which creates a bit of an F sound, so when you're not paying attention, you'll definitely hear an F bomb.
The Dutch version of Put Down the Duckie ("Weg met dat eendje") sounds pretty fun to me. I like the interpretation of Hoots being just an old guy with sort of a shot voice. It's a more subdued performance than the original English version, but executed nicely.
Of course it's much worse nowadays, but even back then when the first season was on the air, there was some apparent criticism of Sesame Street's gender and racial stereotyping, which I believe is documented in the 1971 book "All About Sesame Street". That lead to Susan, for example, getting a...
I know they have done both for sure, including The Wombles (stop motion) and Simon In The Land Of Chalk Drawings (traditional). Who would've thought they'd go on to work for Sesame Street? :excited:
Thanks for the good wishes everyone! It was a great day, all things considered. Nothing extravagant, but it was an interesting day. Lots of kindness, a bit of bitterness, and lots and lots of food! :flirt:
@LittleJerry92 That'd be fine too, really. Maybe for Disney's upcoming streaming service. They might not do it right off the bat, but if what they come out with is enough to gain a good membership base, then they should definitely consider pulling Bear out of hibernation.
Why don't they just put the old episodes on the air again? They're well produced, and still very relevant to modern society. Bear still does well in other countries anyway.
Here's more of the new old Letter People, or the "Alphabet Bunch" as it is known in the title now. Here we meet Mr. H, and a surprising lot of Pokemon. Also Camilla.
