    Fozzie Bear the volunteer worker?

Okay, another post about Fozzie. In the Ethel Merman episode, he tried to negotiate for more money. Kermit gave him ten times his regular salary, but it's then revealed that Fozzie makes nothing. So, was he a volunteer worker? Come to think of it, I remember seeing a panel in the 80's for a...

Muppet Show DVD; Missing A Booklet?

You know, my friend lent me TMS Season 1 DVD and we noticed that there was a pouch on the left side. But what was it for? It looks like a place where a booklet should be, but none was included. I don't think this was unique to his set; I wonder what the deal with that is.

    Buddy & Jim

Wow, what a way of looking at it. I wonder if a mainstream magazine would say something like that today. I'm sure that's not what CTW intended. I think it was a mixture of old fashioned comedy routines and allowing children to feel smarter than adults for once. I enjoyed Buddy and Jim, but I...

    Bob's Deaf Niece

I'm sure she was human, but come to think of it, it might be interesting to have human adults with muppet children or young relatives. The adult humans have acted as "surrogate" parents to the muppets for years, why couldn't they be real parents to some of them?

    Lord Chatterly and "Alphabet Chat"

Go back and read what I said again. The skits did not last as long as other skits. My opinion: They did not seem to work.

What kind of action will get SW's attention?

According to this old ad, the first season hero was actually called "The Man From Alphabet". Check out this link and what Superman says in the bottom panel: http://www.comicbookresources.com/columns/oddball/closeup.php?image=wonderwoman185-ad.jpg

What episodes did Richard perform Piggy?

You can usually tell because Richard Hunt gave her a very different voice from Frank Oz.

    Carol Burnett Clip(s)

There was also a clip of Carol Burnett saying, "Well, back to the old drawing board" that was shown after a lot of the Rocket Countdown cartoon skits.

    Twin Muppets sharing speech

Yes, when I was six, I heard Ed Norton make a reference to the Bobbsey Twins on The Honeymooners; I thought he was referring to the muppets on Sesame Street because I didn't yet understand that Sesame Street came a decade later. LOL

They were also included in a punch-out finger puppet booklet from the early 70's.

They were from the early 70's. I believe that they were called the Busby Twins.

    So has Global Warming Resumed?

When you think about it, a debate about what's going on with the temperature of the Earth really shouldn't be all that controversial. The strong feelings come in because of the political overtones connected with both sides of the issue. On the surface, we see people debating about science...

    Lord Chatterly and "Alphabet Chat"

I think it had something to do with the timing. Skits where Bert, Kermit, and others lost their temper seemed to have a proper build up and sequence of events. This guy seemed to just fall apart too easily.

    Lord Chatterly and "Alphabet Chat"

Read it again. I said it "didn't SEEM to work", as in my opinion and also as in the fact that the skits didn't last very long.

    Lord Chatterly and "Alphabet Chat"

I remember him. Somehow the set-up for interruptions and aggravation didn't seem to work as well as it had with the more classical sketches, like Kermit and Cookie Monster.
