Positive and Negative: Elmo In Grouchland

Ernie and Bert being in the movie: Good. Their roles in the movie: Not so good. They live on the street with everyone else. Why were they not directly involved in the adventure.

The Official "I'm looking for/trying to remember a sketch" thread

Hardly. I'd just speed through skits I've already seen and only watch what I wanted.

Sesame Street Season 46 begins on PBS Monday September 12, 2016

Those are the new shows I was referring to. After 2 seasons, it could be very easy to "forget" the promise to hire them back. We need to make sure the issue stays in focus. It's 100 times more important than any "lost sketches" or what muppets are going to continue to be featured.

Vintage Sesame Street Count Puppet from Canada

Also, not only is it the same child on the box of the Count puppet and Oscar puppet, but the pictures of the child seem to be IDENTICAL all the way down to creases on his shirt! You are definitely right to be skeptical!

It's called loyalty. And it doesn't matter whether one watches the show or not. We owe it to the veteran cast. Sadly, the concept of loyalty seems to be lost on many. I can guarantee you one thing though. I WILL DEFINITELY be watching the new shows to see if they keep their word or not.

These Ugly Sesame Shirts were a thing, apparently.

They were just trying to give them a childlike style of art.

Rare "Cracks" animation from 1970's Sesame Street

The Margaret Hamilton episode may have been shunned for its content, but it is hardly the only street scene that is unavailable. Even though we can see much more classic street scenes online than I ever dreamed we would, it should be noted that there are still MANY more that need to be found.

That's not true. The Seven Monsters sketch WAS on the show. Take it from someone who is old enough to remember seeing it as a kid.

If they fired Loretta Long too, it is every bit as shameful. However, that is not my understanding of the facts. If anyone has evidence about Dr. Long being fired, please enlightened us and I will be sure to advocate for her as well! "Today reported that Loretta Long, who plays Gordon's wife...

    Where are the older humans?

It's always simpler if the oppressed keep their mouths shut. Mr. McGrath, Mr. Orman, and Mr. Delgado, I want to apologize for any disrespect you may have seen. You all devoted years of your lives educating and entertaining us. I appreciate it and want you to be on Sesame Street for as long...

    Where are the older humans?

Nope. Age was never mentioned at all: “They let all of the original cast members go, with the exception of Alan Muraoka — who is probably 20 years younger than the rest of us — and Chris Knowings, who is also young,” McGrath, 84, said at a Florida Supercon Q&A on July 2...
