Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Not sure if you still hang around here or not, but do you remember where you heard that the book was started before Jim Henson died?
I put that on the wiki page for the book in the early days, when they weren't so strict about citing sources (and I don't think they were saying that forum posts...
Been quite a while since I last started any "versus" threads for similar segments. But which D song do you like better - Disco D or D Duah Duah (aka Be MY D)?
They are both disco sounding songs about the letter D that came out within a few years of each other, where the vocalists are clearly...
I feel like very few Muppets Tonight promos that aired on ABC (whether with or without exclusive footage) is online.
I had created a page for Muppets Tonight promos with info on that and another one with the same set (featuring an Elvis Muppet), as well as one with Bob Saget and Fozzie Bear...
I recall a handful of Muppets Tonight ads with original content. Muppet Wiki used to have information on these (based on my own longtime memory), but previously images and video were unavailable.
But just yesterday I found a video of commercial breaks on ABC and one such Muppets Tonight ad...
It's just been announced that a two-pack of Kermit and Constantine in Funko Pop form will be available exclusively at Hot Topic.
Kermit and Constantine Funko Pops? Nailed It. - ToughPigs
Seems like the episode numbers are set in stone before the seasons begin, based on scheduled guest stars, and then based on the guests availability, taping order will change but the production order remains the same (and I guess if a guest star cancels their appearance, whoever replaces them...
Looks like I can't edit this post anymore (and I already did to add films I forgot to mention the first post), but the movie I was listed as Hollywood Canteen is actually called Stage Door Canteen.
Dave did talk about this in an interview Toughpigs did, I recall he said he didn't know why they had him do the show and he was just on for a day or two.
Top ten older movies I saw for the first time in 2023 (by "older films", I'll say movies that came before 2022):
1. The Shining
2. Pee-wee's Big Adventure
3. Mannequin
4. Superman
5. Supergirl
6. Raiders of the Lost Arc
7. Superman III
8. Midnight Madness
9. The Birds
10. Die Hard

In watching Christmas Eve on Sesame Street recently, I only now noticed that during the opening skating sequence, we never see the walk-around versions of the Muppets (aside from Big Bird) at the same time that we see the human cast. Even though it's obvious they are puppets, I guess they didn't...
With Max being a streaming site people pay for (and I assume most of us who got Max did so primarily for the long-unseen classic Sesame Street episodes), it's a wonder the AAPB chose to make those episodes available online for free, and the same edits as on Max (I assume the AAPB's copies are...
I've recently been watching Fun and Fancy Free and The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.... What was the point of the two segments in both movies having different narrators? Was it always planned that the stories would later be seen on their own?
It's odd in Fun and Fancy Free. Jimminy...
This is the first I heard it was confirmed another figure is coming after them.
There have been a few cases in the DST line where only one character was packaged (Animal, The Swedish Chef), likely due to the large size of their accessories. That could be the case here.
Recently I was looking at "what links here" for many of the Anything Muppet covers of popular songs, and found that most of them last aired in season five or sooner. The only cover I found that did air later (and many times) is season two's The Inch Worm, I can't remember which season was the...
