Waaaaaay back when, I watched the original cartoon when I came home from work in the afternoons. Actually, I started watching it after I got hooked on Darkwing Duck. Launchpad was my favorite character, and here he was in another show! And then I got hooked on the DuckTales adventures...
My nephew wasn't talking and paid no attention whatsoever to anyone but his mother. No repetitive motions, lining up objects, or any of the other classic symptoms of autism; he simply acted like an overgrown infant to whom nobody but Mommy was worth noticing. It was a pretty obvious that the...
I got my order of 50mm balls from from pingbongballs.net in decent time, and they look good. You can see a seam if you look hard, but really it's hardly noticeable. I used them to re-eyeball Red, and they made all the difference:
They cost about $2 each in a pack of 24, which is pretty...
More puppet surgery! I finally got some 50MM ping-pong balls, perfect size for her. So today I beheaded, de-eye-balled, re-eyeballed, and re-headed her.
Dare I say... "Nailed it."
That would be this. And I never heard of it before either.
DVDs in sleeves on a page, ugh. I have the complete M*A*S*H box set, and because the discs were sleeved like that, the data surfaces were often so scratched they were unwatchable. I hope these discs fared better.
Frozen is a threat to male masculinity because it turns men into fools and villains. We need more good male role models in the media!
Only on Fox could a woman say that with a straight face.

I look at those cards and kinda shrug...until I get to the Fraggle ones. I'd consider getting one of they had decent images...but they're all mediocre clipart based on the animated series. What??
Is that who Homer was? I couldn't tell. The only one I recognized in the anime group was Maggiechu. Marge might be someone specific, or she might just be a generic sailor-fuku-wearing girl.
Did you see the most recent Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode? They showed the Simpsons in a whole bunch of other styles, including the original Tracey Ullman designs, pop anime, "hip" CGI, Adventure Time, South Park, Lego, funny-animal, and...wait for it...Minions. It was a thing of beauty.
Lately it's been a thing to draw bishounen humanized versions of the FNAF animatronics. That's especially mindbending to me, because the whole point of the...characters?...is that they are anthroporphic robots, designed to be cute but actually terrifying. If you draw them as cutesy humans...
Ah, anime-izing. It's a fun style to play in, but, yeah, it gets old if you just ape the bishounen look.
Lately I've seen tons of humanized versions of nonhuman characters, for example Muppets. Sometimes they're done well, but sometimes you'd never know what they were supposed to be because...
Ahhhh, Malaysian anime DVDs! I've gotten some big chunks of Tezuka that way. Since I prefer subbed to dubbed in most cases--Death Note being one of the exceptions, as the dub is so excellent--these suit my needs for the most part. Yeah, the translations aren't perfect, but I can usually...
Sam the Robot appeared in the side door, twitching and staring. He gabbled, "We robots are perfect. Are perfect. Are perfect. Are-" His words dissolved into a wordless screech as he leapt forward.
This fic has been brought to you by the number 5 and the letter F.
Oh, for crying out loud. There's a measles outbreak in Arizona that can be traced back to Disneyland. Before the anti-vaccine thing took hold this would not have happened. Nearly all of the population would be immune, and the few that weren't--those who had become vulnerable again and...
I agree, Watership Down is an excellent film and a faithful interpretation of Adams' original book. however, it is not for general audiences. For sensitive little kids it is a terrible film. The Plague Dogs is even more intense, and overall a very sad film. I like it a lot, but I don't watch...
Y'all can kiss my middle-aged grits. I go to Dragon*Con every year, I cosplay, and I do a dang good job of it and have a great time. If you have a problem with it, then that's your problem.
