Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I remember in the early 80's, there was a two week long snow saga. It started with Maria's cousin visiting from Puerto Rico to see what snow was like. It was a marvelous experience for her.
Also, Big Bird received a visit from one of his relatives. His cousin, Zero the Penguin who was a...
Thank you for your support, Count. :)
Just to warn everyone, a couple episodes have some flaws. In the Storyteller episode, The Soldier and Death, a weather test pattern interrupts the episode two times.
And in the Buster Poindexter episode, it gets cut off a few seconds at the beginning...
There were some alphabet books that had rare animals that started with X.
There's my code name, XERUS, which is some type of African ground squirrel.
An armadillo called a XENURUS
A swordfish called a XIPHIAS
A frog-like creature called a XENOPUS
And there are the X-RAY FISH...
I like how sometimes in the beginnings, the Aardvark tells us that he's an anteater and he eats ants. I guess he doesn't know that anteaters and aardvarks are two different animals.
Yeah, I love both those Kermit and Forgetful Jones movie making skits. They remind me of those Electric Company skits where Rita Moreno plays a frustrated movie director where her actors and actresses keep blowing their lines. :)
I just heard recently that actor Hamilton Camp passed away this October 2.
Hamilton was a really talented voice actor and I loved his work. He was the voice of Greedy and Harmony in the Smurfs. Young Barney Rubble in the Flintstone Kids. And what I think is his best character was Fenton...
The Aardvark always had the funniest lines in each cartoon.
"Hey Ant, I'm gonna move you into a new neighborhood, MY STOMACH!"
"Slow down! You're gonna run all your fat off!"
One sound I think is funny when cartoon characters tiptoe, they make this little dinging sound. "DING, DING, DING, DING." It's like you're making more noise just by tiptoeing.
Also, I like in the Looney Tunes when someone plays a tiny little trumpet, it makes a cute little, "EEP, EEP, EEP...
Thank you all for your wonderful comments on Day 10 of my fanfic. And I knew you'd like it if Beauregard was in it, Beau.
I'll come out with Day 11 soon. :)
Xerus
I saw in that episode where Bob was explaining to Telly and Rosita what signlanguage is for they didn't seem to know. Have they already forgotten who Linda was and the signlanguage she used?
I'm so sorry all this badness is happening to you Ziffel. I pray that something better will come along in your life. It makes me think of that song Kermit and Rowlf sang in the Muppet Movie, "I Hope That Something Better Comes Along." :sympathy:
Anyway, I too am a single guy and never had...

Day 10
LEWIS: Welcome back, sports fans, to Day 10 of Battle of the Muppet All-Stars. Once again, I am Lewis Kazagger.
NEWSMAN(brushing his coat clean with a small brush): And I’m The Newsman, who just came back from an interesting...
There are two Chef's skits that made me laugh so hard.
1. When The Chef had a chicken who wouldn't lay an egg, he ended up chasing her all around the room with a cleaver.
2. When The Chef was in the woods and wanted to cook a "squirrelly!" he tried to shake a tree shouting, "CUM DOON...
I remember Jack and Avery had this comedy line they usually say a lot.
"You know what I mean?"
"Yeah!"
"Huh?"
"Yeah!"
"Huh?"
"Yeah!"
"Huh?"
"Yeah!"
"Huh?"
Jerry was a talented writer who knew what stories and situations would work best for the Muppets. I'm going to miss his work along with Jim's, Richards, Joe's, Jon's, and Jeff's talents.
What a touching story. Definitely a wonderful tribute to the late Jerry. He was definitely a talented writer and brought out the personalities of the Muppets. I liked how Kermit allowed Gonzo to write the date of Jerry's passing. And how classic Muppets like Hilda and Nigel came back to...
