I'm hopin' to see....
For 1974 to 75 (not sure when these were made), it would be kewl to see the "Milk" song, Count to 10 with "Nobody", and the singing orange. 1978 was an ESSENTIAL year for SS in my opinion. I think the Kermit the Frog T-shirt sketch was made then and that would ROCK if that...
What are you gonna do?...Go to www.slowwave.com, where people POST their weird dreams and the dreams are written in comic book form. Yes, there are Muppet/Sesame Street related dreams; my fave out of these is "CSI Sesame Street" where Grover had to go to jail (?) There's also one where the...
Well, I did have one dream where I was singing the lyrics to "Danger's No Stranger" and somebody thought I got 'em wrong...haven't had any "Wet Paint" dreams.
Awesome dream, bigjeffy! ;) Just about every single weird dream I've HAD involves Sesame Street in some way or another. Coincidentally, I had a dream LAST NIGHT that involved "The Letter N" (it also involved "Rebel L".) I dreamt that I was in my old high school and some guy was singing "Rebel L"...
Nooooooooooooooooooooo!
Wardok, let me respond to this by letting out a "Star Wars"-styled "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" IMHO, The Crayon Film is a CLASSIC skit that belongs in the ranks of "Ladybug Picnic", "The King of 8", "Loaf of Bread, Container of Milk...", "Alligator King", and well...ya...
Dancing Pencil 'toon
Did anyone see this yet? I remember this one; very Talking Heads-ish in terms of the music, at least I think so. Any idea when it was made? From the looks of it, I'd say somewhere between 1978 and '82, though I'm not completely sure.
Here are mine:
0 - Cookie Monster's song about subtracting cookies (which is also about the number 0)
1 - Harvey Kneeslapper's "Would Ya Like 1?"
2 - Bellhop 2 Lost Kids In the Lobby
3 - the "1, 2, 3 (Hee hee hee!)" song
4 - 4 Big Lions
5 - Stencil # 5 on asphalt
6 - "6 Soccer Socks"...
Thanx 4 t3h info, Bigjeffy!! Like the person who posted this one, this scared me as a kid, too! Today, they seem like "Muppet emo kids" circa '82 so it's kinda funny. Perhaps you should do across between those kids and some emo band (Fall Out Boy, perhaps, even though I can't stand 'em) and call...
ANSWERS (part 2):
1. I believe Richard Hunt performed Billy Idle.
2. I'm pretty sure his nose was either hot pink or dark purple.
3. 1992 or '93 (I think)
BTW, I too remember seeing "Wet Paint" a lot on SS, but I LOVED it!!! Actually there were quite a few "freaky" segments I just...
No, I didn't notice that, and frankly I'm quite surprised since I'm pretty much what one might call a "music geek" (actually, I'm pretty much a geek in general!! :p) I also noticed that we seemed to have similar choices for letter cartoons/segments as far as our posts on the "What's Your...
For that reason, it kinda reminds me of "Lost In the Supermarket" by the Clash, even though there were no keyboards in that song. Then again, "The Letter N"'s structure (and video) do bear a pretty strong resemblance to "I Love Rock And Roll" by Joan Jett. Do you think Jerry Nelson was a...
ANSWERS:
1. I think it's the Rebel L himself (or itself) that's performed by Chris Cerf, not Billy Idle. Billy Idle had lavender skin and a triangular nose.
2. 1986 (or maybe '87)
3. I don't know who performed the policeman (policewoman, actually), and the L as mentioned above was Chris...
Here are mine:
A - the ape on the train
B - "Letter B" by the Beetles
C - tie between the oversized canary cartoon and the one with the candle blowing out the man
D - "Daddy Dear"
E - "See...me...eating a peach..."
F - Frances the Fairy
G - Gorilla in the man suit (I know I hated that...
Interesting analysis (you're obviously more of a Metallica fan than I am.) I personally agree with that one person on YouTube who said it sounded like "I Love Rock And Roll" by Joan Jett for a couple reasons: like the person who wrote that sited, it has a black-and-white video and a similar...
Actually, all 3 of sawing14s recent posts were AWESOME!! I just remembered how much in my youth I LOVED "The Sign Says Don't Walk". I know it sounds weird in retrospect, but when I first heard "Everybody Hurts" by R.E.M., it reminded me of that song. Anybody else see that connection or was I...
