You've got a point; I'd drop "The 400 Blows" and show both halves of the sleepover sketch. After all, it's the second half that includes Ernie counting to ridiculously high numbers as he walks around half-asleep... :p Part 1 would be best before "Joe Hundredguy" and Part 2 after; putting...
I've heard both songs and recall much of the lyrics to both. Still, neither really talks about how much an inch, a pound, or another specific unit is (the way the Metric Song does with its namesake units). That material made me suspect that the song must have come from another TV show.
Are you sure that was a Sesame Street song, and that it played on the US version of the show? I never remember measurements being discussed in more than very general terms: people might have mentioned pounds and quarts, but not taught how much a particular unit was.
I now have higher-quality .mp4 clips from Episode 1839 (Mr. Hooper's death explained) in my archives: the street scenes are in one file, and everything else is in another. If any of you have questions or problems, please drop me a private message.
Agreed--as far as I know, only one episode (#121) had 1 as an actual sponsor before the mid-80s. (I suspect it was meant as a special exception to the rules: it began the last ten episodes of that season, which had 1-10 as sponsors in that order.) Several early episodes did show clips about...
A few of my friends on YouTube confirmed that they've seen Rubber Stamp clips less than 11, and one said he was disappointed whenever the series stopped before 8. Still, the lower limit can't be too far under 8; I'm guessing 4, judging by the background music.
Actually, a segment for "13" has been added recently. A fairly new user posted this clip from the "stop-motion number guy" series (with a man carrying the numbers, as opposed to the other stop-motion where they appear by themselves).

OK, how does this list look for "To 21 and Beyond"? I'm trying to balance Muppet vs. cartoon sketches, and to keep the numbers in order...
Numberella
Ernie's "12/21" poem
The Count watches "24"
Animated cowboy adds up 30 cows (yes, I saw this one; it was 30 all right!)
Monsterpiece Theater...
Yes, I've seen "Tu Me Gustas" as a street segment--good news! :) I'd also suggest the "No Matter What" song for this compilation, even though it's live action.
Good choices; I'd add Kingston Livingston III's "Be Yourself" song, and maybe the "me" cartoon with the girl who insists "I'm still me!"...
Speaking of Muppet sketches, how about the "11 Cookies/One Egg" sketch with Ernie and Cookie Monster? That would fit the theme for an 11-20 compilation; I have it on YouTube here...

If the 13-20 compilation emphasizes songs a bit too much, here are two alternative sketches I thought of this morning:
For #14, the street segment with an artist showing off paintings that all have "14" themes. (I remember two of the paintings: a plane with fourteen passengers and a...
From 11 to 20 might include these sketches, although I admit it'd be song-heavy:
Two hands want to count to 11, but need help from a third
"Rocks in the desert" stop-motion on 12
Cowboy's "Lucky 13" song
Benny the Bunny and Polly Darton: "14-Carrot Love"
"Just Take a Look at 15"
"16 Samba"...
Two more themes...
[ETA: umm, make that THREE more!]
Which clips would you choose for a half-hour "Best of..." about these themes?
Geometric shapes should include some of the following:
The hippie and the strait-laced Anything Muppet imagining shapes
Herry and Cookie Monster singing...
The themed episode choices sound great; if enough clips existed, though, I'd add "To 21 and Beyond" to the number compilations. These would be my candidates for inclusion in the episode:
Ernie's "12 and 21" poem
Numberella
The Count watches "24"
Monsterpiece Theater: The 39 Steps...
OK, thanks for clearing that up; I recognized Fuzzyface, but not Big V. Would that be the Herry-like fellow who had a "V" on his sweater in this sketch? (Somehow, I can't imagine Herry himself wanting to take advantage of little kids!) Or does Kermit call some other Muppet "Big V" for a reason...
I can think of at least two cartoon sketches that specifically called a "V" big:
Two friends (named Virgil and Victor, I think) stand on opposite forks of a huge capital "V", and try to discuss the letter.
A narrator (unseen until the last part) describes the journey of a "big letter 'V'" in...
If Sesame Workshop and the Disney Company gave permission (darn them for buying Kermit!), then sure I'd watch a show like that. I'd prefer each show to center on a theme, like "Muppets at work"; then again, that's just me.
P.S. You do have a good eye for video work, judging by the...
