I'm setting all my clips to Private...as soon as I can figure out why YouTube insists on sending copies to my designated viewers whenever I reset an old clip. (Yes, they've narrowed private viewing from "friends only" to "25 designated viewers on your friends list"... :boo: ) The more this...
Even worse for us: YouTube has recently narrowed private videos from "friends only" to "25 specific friends". On top of that, setting clips to "private" automatically sends copies to every designated viewer on your list, whether you want that or not (I upset a few friends today when I started...
I recently posted an article about the YouTube problem on my fan-club blog:
http://classicsesamestreetfans.blogspot.com/2007/07/urgent-new-video-site-needed.html
If anyone here can help find us a safe alternative site to host our clips, I'd appreciate it...preferably free, since begging for...
I agree--although most of Sesame Street is supposed to be educational, some of the early sketches were thrown in just for fun. Gonzo's comparison with recess during a school day is dead accurate, in my opinion; besides, Sesame Street was partially inspired by "Laugh-In"! :)
All I can add to the replies above, is the following:
Yes, a variant song called "Four Blind Mice" was performed by a couple of Sesame Street Muppets (I think it was Bert and Ernie, but might be wrong there) during the first season.
Yes, the "16 Samba" song exists (I've seen it on PBS, though...
"Christmas Eve on Sesame Street" is my favorite: it includes most of the then-current cast, a few Muppet/kid moments, and lots of songs that are still suitable for a thirtysomething-year-old fan like me. It also gives the cast real(ish) lives as people, not just as lesson-teaching mascots.
Awwww! *hugs hugs hugs BeakerSqueedom back* Now for the two hardest parts...the Hugging Channel clip, and the interview with someone/something related to hugging. Any suggestions?
Article ideas--need more info to write!
I've been wanting to add articles on the following, but need more information (since none of my computer-watchable episodes include related material). Can anyone else provide enough data to turn these vague memories into articles, please?

Part 3
Thank you so much; I knew that watching the recent Sesame Street episodes would pay off somehow. Feast your eyes on tonight's installment!

If I hadn't been banned long ago, I'd be glad to help with editing again...and to offer any proof necessary that I was dead serious about changing my ways. :halo:
I suspect the parents just wanted to brag about their kids being on Sesame Street (at the very least; I've heard of parents trying to push their kids into becoming child actors, too).
Thank you...I am not a big fan of "Elmo's World" either, but it seemed like the perfect place to do a Sesame Street segment about hugs. Glad you're enjoying this!
Part 2
ELMO: Awwww...you learn really fast! Elmo loves it when you hug Elmo--thank you, Mr. and Ms. Noodle! [The two of them smile, disengage, and back away as ELMO's shade goes down again.] Now Elmo will ask a baby: How do you hug a friend? [ELMO walks up to a BABY, who is seated in a...
I've got a computer-watchable version of "Big Bird Goes to China", if you wouldn't mind trading episodes with me. Just let me know which program you ordinarily use to watch video clips, so I can upload the file in the right format...
[Standard opening animation and music for EW episodes...]
ELMO: Hi! Welcome to Elmo's World!...Elmo's so happy to see you, and so is Dorothy...[turns to DOROTHY's fishbowl] Say hello, Dorothy!... Guess what Elmo is thinking about today? [Standard kazoo fanfare plays, then ELMO's doorbell...
