Ah, I must have missed that one. Sorry about that. :p
Dooley and Pals is just amazing. They must've really studied Barney & Friends for this, because it's such a close copy. Listen to the musical scores and song instrumentals from Dooley, and compare it to a Barney episode from around the...
Here's a horrible Barney & Friends rip-off from Canada, called Ricky's Room. It's not so much a puppet show as a mascot-costume show (Unlike Barney, there aren't any puppetry componets to the suits), but I guess it fits well enough. Besides, I haven't seen anyone on MCF talk about it.
This is...
John, your sharing this the innocent folks? It's a special day!
Soooooooooo... who was this aimed at? It looks like it's trying for the preschool market, but the Cavity Goon is kind of horrifying.
"It's up to us, Captain Good Guy and First Mate Brushbrush, to save the sun!"
I saw this...
Well, this is... interesting. I honestly can't imagine this feeling like anything more than an extended Sid the Science Kid TV episode. Although, I must say, I'm not very surprised that plans to release this in theaters fell through. Preschool movies rarely do well. If Winnie the Pooh couldn't...
Disney put out tons of Bear in the Big Blue House DVDs. (13 is the exact number, I believe) They contain three episodes each. They're very easy to find and they're very inexpensive - The most I've paid for one is $10. There's even more avaliable if you're willing to import them from other...
This is a typical kids DVD - A company owns some old kids shows, puts an episode from each on a single disc, puts said disc into a cheap DVD case, and sells it at Wal-Mart for $10. A lot of companies do this.
I might get this new Jim Henson Collection if I happen to see it at Wal-Mart, and...
I don't go by the cereal section of the grocery store all that often (I don't like eating cereal in the morning - Probably because I don't like putting milk in it), but I haven't seen either of these Sesame cereals here in Canada. I'm actually a little curious now.
Speaking of character-based...
Yeah, it was IMDB. It's probably the website that's in the wrong, then. Sorry about that. :p
I don't know where this aired originally, but I do know that it's on five days a week (that excludes Tuesday and Friday) on The Trinity Broadcasting Network's Smile of a Child channel, which you can...
I'm sure the people making these things love God and really want to teach kids about Him. However, there are two problems:
1) Since most major children's programming studios wouldn't touch a religious show with a thirty-five-and-a-half foot pole, the shows simply can't look as polished as...
Ah, yes. Look What God Made. I had some good fun with this "classic."
I actually found a VHS copy of this thing at a thrift store later on. For novelty sake, I bought it.
Speaking of creepy Christian puppets...
I've actually become a Christian fairly recently, but I must...
I lived through it once... I can do it again... right?
Make the song about subscribers and attention, and you'll have your awnser.
I have never been more dissapointed in you, son. Don't bother coming home tonight - I already ate your supper.
It's official. I have the movie on my computer. I'll be reviewing The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure.
I'm gonna need professional help after watching this one again... :o
Here's a listing for it on DVD Planet. Not much more information, sadly - a UPC code. (883476093239) and a note saying that it's a release from HENSON ( HNSN ). (I'm guessing that's The Jim Henson Company) It also notes that this is a one-disc release.
Netflix with exclusive content? I guess it was going to happen sooner or later. My biggest question - Will anyone watch this original stuff, or just stick with Big Bang Theory and Family Guy? :P
