Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
This is only intended for a limited run series isn't it? They'll probably tell the story within one season, but this could open the door for another series that jumps in the timeline. Doesn't Netflix typically make all the episodes available at once?
I sure hope so, the practical effects and puppetry is what made both Labyrinth and Dark Crystal beloved cult classics. The storyline will be vital though, especially without the original cast - they'll have to make it interesting enough that the audience isn't always wondering where they are...
I'm just happy to have anything from the World of DC! (especially after the second movie was ditched) I'll sign up for Netflix just to watch it and then buy it on Blu Ray as well!
Not sure what to think of this without the original cast, especially Bowie, as it was said above - the story surrounds his labyrinth / kingdom. I'm all for exploring the world of Labyrinth, but they should stick to realistic effects and puppets as much as possible...
Here are the previewed images if anyone missed them, clearly not the final product though (via google):

Looks like they updated with images of the plush line(s). They are being sold in 8, 11, or 28 inches? Seems like a bit much. I wonder when we'll see final images of the PVC miniatures line - that's what might interest me.
There is a link to an image of what they look like in the first post, but I haven't taken a photo of mine. If you or anyone else has some Fraggle items to trade, I'd be happy to get them out and snap a picture. :excited:
Found these after years, so thought I'd bump the thread to offer them again - I'm looking to trade them for Fraggle Rock McDonalds toys or other Fraggle PVC items! I've only been able to find ONE of my Fraggle McDonalds cars, no idea where the others are!
I just read that the mini figures are going to be blind boxed! I'm not a fan of blind boxed items, especially when I'm only after certain characters. Wish they'd do a set of the Fraggles by themselves.
The Funko Reaction Garthim (Toys R Us exclusive) has hit retail this week! Sadly, it doesn't come with the winged Kira from the NYCC exclusive set - but for all the DC fans that love action figures, this is a must have!
Here is the latest info on the Garthim - a quote from Reis at Funko, "Yes! The Garthim will hit Toys R Us in the beginning to middle of March! I have one in hand and it looks amazing!"
This is exciting news, though I don't have HBO, any word on whether the remastered versions will be released on DVD / Blu Ray? I only own "Where it all Began" on DVD...
I fondly remember the Sababa plush Fraggles - I used to own them. I cant say I'd be interested in anything plush, but if a company did action figures, that would be cool. Funko released a line of highly detailed Dark Crystal figures, so its possible they could cover Fraggle Rock as well. I'm...
I suppose this is better than nothing. I've read and enjoyed all the Dark Crystal Creation Myths graphic novels, so this will be a welcome addition to my reading list.
I thought I'd update this thread, because I made another custom DC Mystic, but this time with the Funko Reaction figure. Below shows my original diorama as well.
Yes, Fizzgig looks great - the basic Kira comes with the mouth open version and the exclusive Kira (with Garthim) comes with the mouth closed. Each basic figure has a piece of the large crystal, and Jen comes with the stone base - he also has the shard, which can be placed into the crystal...
I found the Dark Crystal basic line today, but not at TRU - it was at a video game / movie / music store called The Exchange. They had a set of the basic figures, so I bought them all. The smaller figures were $10, and the larger two were $13. I'm astounded by the detail and the great deco...
