Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Here's some ideas I had for future MB episodes involving baby versions of Henson/Sesame characters:
1.) Kermit introduces his Sesame Street friends to everyone in the nursery, and chaos ensues when they can't find something they can all do together that's not annoying (like Ernie wanting to...
True, but I know the SS puppets were created by Henson and co., so it could still count somewhat. :-)
Also thought of all the Henson-property characters singing "Sing" at the end... and even the Skrumps doing "Wet Paint" by How Now Brown and the Moo Wave.
1.) The show's called "Welcome to Pooh Corner", not "House at Pooh Corner". And yes, I enjoyed that show a lot (and Dumbo's Circus as well).
2.) Spoeaking of Christian children's puppet shows, I'm really getting into Quigley's Village-- Bubba the Ape and Spike the Porcupine are two of my...
...as sung by other Henson characters (i.e. Sid the Science Kid, Red Fraggle, the Disney Muppets)? What songs do you think they would sing?
Here's some ideas I had:
1.) "Sesame Street Theme" - performed by all of the Muppets
2.) "I Don't Want to Live on the Moon" - sung by the Pajanimals and...
I know they aren't exactly "Muppets" per se, but considering they're part of the Jim Henson family, I could imagine a Dinosaur Train spoof:
First one:
(cut to a scene where the family's in a dinosaur museum)
LOIS: All right kids, now remember, do not spend more than $25 on gifts.
CHRIS...
Same here, my friend. :-) Ben's one of my favorite PP characters.
I even enjoyed his character of Forest Stump the beaver from Once Upon a Tree (which is no longer airing on PBS at the moment)-- especially when Forest got to act out as Bionic Beaver (guess every puppet show wanted to have a...
I like the thought of Pepe as a Muppet Babies character, too.
BTW, what would some of those characters we mentioned (i.e. Sid and his classmates) look like as babies?
This is what I think it would be like:
(Gobo sorts through the trash in Doc's workshop. He finally finds his Uncle Traveling Matt's letter.)
GOBO (reading): "Dear Nephew Gobo..."
(fade to Matt visiting Muppet Labs)
TRAVELING MATT: I am on my way to discover a very shiny-looking cave, and...
That's exactly what I thought! I'd guess May would most likely hang out with Scooter and not Miss Piggy (seeing as May isn't a "pretty-princess" type of character like Miss Piggy).
