    Pinball Number Count

That's terrific - it was always one of my favorite pieces of SS music, anyway. I had been wondering why the Pointer Sisters were credited on the track, when there were clearly a lot of people working on it. Even though it's a great piece of music in itself, the "wild lines" he describes with...

    Kermit on VH1's "I Love the 70's"

Did anybody catch this? (sorry if I'm repeating an old thread) Thought it was interesting to see Kermit (Steve Whitmire) comment on Kermit in the Muppet Movie as though they were the same person (not that it should have been done differently.)

    Bilingual Sesame Street songs

I think the one with Elmo and Luis is "Tu Me Gusta" - it's on the new collection CD 3. I vaguely remember the Linda Ronstadt number...wish I knew that one!

    Are Ernie and Bert gay?

Sorry - Svengoolie is a local (Chicago area) character who comments on old horror flicks - a la Mystery Science Theater, if that's gone international. Viewers call in and the winner comes to the studio to throw rubber chickens at him during the closing credits. :D

DVD Series of every Sesame Street episode ever made

Though, Trekkie, Star Trek had only 80 or so episodes, and SS has somewhere between three and four thousand (figuring there were 134 episodes per year for at least the first 25 years - don't know when they made the painful decision to do 34 per season) So I don't think we'll get this soon - but...

Your Thoughts: "Songs From The Street" Box Set

Have you all looked at the terrific liner notes - a real history of SS music - by none other than Christopher Cerf! I didn't know he worked for Between the Lions, too - or that his segway into SS was through Harvard Lampoon! Ssetta must be happy!

    SuperGrover & SuperElmo

Does anybody else remember this? Who was doing Elmo when skits with the two of them came out?

    Bilingual Sesame Street songs

Which bilingual songs (English/Spanish - or English/??) do you remember best? My favorites are: Baa Baa Bamba Sing/Canta Tu Me Gusta PS - does anybody have Baa Baa Bamba on mp3? I'd love to burn a collection of these but only can burn from CDs, not videos.

Your Thoughts: "Songs From The Street" Box Set

Just got my copy and can't tell you how much I'm enjoying it...makes me remeber being a kid...I really hope they do the video counterpart; love how the dialogue is listed in the lyrics as well as the words to the songs. My advice to all fans - buy, buy, buy! - make sure your percentage of the...

So whats up with Blue House, Animal Jam, that Australian Muppet Show, and Hoobs?

Wasn't Kermit Love largely responsible for the design "look" that kind of defines Muppets?

Best and Worst Sesame Guest stars

and, that's what Ray Romano does!.... Along those lines, I also liked James Gandolfini explaining to Zoe that he's afraid of giant talking vegetables...

So whats up with Blue House, Animal Jam, that Australian Muppet Show, and Hoobs?

I, too, am pretty broken up about Bear...long ago, I knew some folks who worked on it - hope they're being recycled somewhere... Gotta help those guys pay the cookie bill, as Grover would say! Though it's hard to imagine Bear without Luna...

Songs you still sing out loud?

OK, it's not Little Jerry, but I LOVE "What's the Name of that Song?" It's a great one when you have a BAD song stuck in your head. We sing it all the time.

Favorite cultural (not pop) icons on Sesame Street

Oh - how could I forget - my ultimate favorite had to be Kofi Anan last season. "Do it the United Nations Way!"

Favorite cultural (not pop) icons on Sesame Street

One thing I remember with fondness about SS was the number of cultural icons that made cameos. Of course, the definition of cultural icon as opposed to pop icon is a little up for grabs - but generally pop icons aren't known well after 5 or 10 years. I also liked that the people they chose...
