Muppets Now Episode 4 - Sleep Mode

I've been out of the loop, I'm surprised to hear that people are still complaining about Matt's Kermit. I was SUPER unimpressed when he first took over, but having seen very little Muppet stuff since then, I was shocked at how good I found him to be in Muppets Now. I am also surprised that...

Kermit and Miss Piggy on The Last Leg

I think I worded that post a little too harshly. I do have faith in Matt's ability to make this work and as I said I acknowledge that he's only just started his "Journey to Kermie". I was NOT a big fan of Steve in the early days, I know it takes time for the performers to get used to Kermit and...

Kermit and Miss Piggy on The Last Leg

There’s some fun stuff in the episode, but I was quite shocked at Matt’s performance. I haven’t heard him since right around his debut, and I thought he had some potential at first. But I didn’t think his Last Leg appearance was convincing as Kermit at all. Still early days, I’m not writing...

Steve Whitmire has left the Muppets, Matt Vogel to continue as Kermit

Regardless of whether the Henson family is still involved in current Muppet productions, they all have years of experience working and/or interacting with Steve (and with many other people who worked with him) and are entitled to their opinions based on that experience. That said, wow, they do...

Steve Whitmire has left the Muppets, Matt Vogel to continue as Kermit

Shocking and heartbreaking news. I still struggle with Steve's not-Jim-ness, but if his employment was terminated by Disney I hope they had a very, very good reason. I wish Matt Vogel all the best in the role.

Labyrinth sequel in development - Variety report

I would love to see a Labyrinth sequel. It would be hard to get right, but with the right script, the right director and the right casting it is absolutely possible to craft something that lives up to the original's legacy. It would be jolly difficult, and super unlikely, but it isn't...

Your Thoughts: "Muppets Most Wanted" Theatrical Film

It finally opened here last week so I've had a chance to see it a couple of times. I really enjoyed it a lot. I think it was MUCH better in basically every way than the last movie (indeed I would say it's certainly in the top 4 best Muppet movies, and possibly the top 3 -- there are a lot of...

    Favorite Theatarical Muppet Movie

I voted for TMTM -- surprised to see it doing so well, but then we haven't got a lot of votes in yet. I think objectively it's probably the weakest of the original three, but it was the first one to come along when I was old enough to really carry it with me after I left the cinema. So I pretty...

Fan Poll: Favorite Muppet Christmas Production

It's hard to go past MFC, and everything on this list is brilliant in its own way, but checking the results so far, I have to give my vote to IaVMMCM. I loved that it had the guts to throw a couple of lines to characters we'd barely seen in years, and to me it just felt like one of the strongest...

    TMS Comics Availability Problem

Hi, this bummed me out too. There's a lot of stuff Diamond won't ship beyond the US and Canada (particularly licensed stuff like this). According to my local comic store, although they can't get the monthly issues they won't have any trouble getting the collected editions (presumably through...

Original Muppet Whatnot Workshop now off-line

I reluctantly withdraw my "woo-hoo". They just got back to me with a shipping quote. US$220 to ship to Australia. With the current exchange rate it's probably cheaper to fly to New York. :)

Original Muppet Whatnot Workshop now off-line

Okay, at this point I don't want to get my hopes up too high! But we have heard back from FAO Schwartz (really impressed with their customer service!) and apparently the official answer is this: We have received information form management that Muppet Whatnots will be shipped internationally...

Original Muppet Whatnot Workshop now off-line

Okay, so the international shipping issue isn't as simple as I'd hoped! The website says that generally, they ship stuff OS, but you have to email first rather than using the standard checkout method. After people here starting saying they don't ship the Whatnots outside the US, I emailed...

Original Muppet Whatnot Workshop now off-line

Oh wow, I'd kind of pessimistically assumed they wouldn't ship outside the US... but they do! :excited: I agree that the limited options are a little disappointing, but still -- what a thing to have! This is a great day for Muppet fans.

    Return to Labyrinth: Volume 2

It's been a long wait between volumes, but I think it's paid off because the art has significantly improved. It's also nice to know that they've taken fan feedback onboard and consequently expanded the series to four volumes to fit in more of the stuff that people hoped to see in the sequel.

    Return to Labyrinth: Opinion

Man, I was really disappointed when I read this thread. We've all been waiting a long time for more Labyrinth, so there's a lot riding on these projects. So when I read the book, I was hugely relieved. RtL might not be winning any Eisners but I don't believe the writing is anywhere near as...

Your Thoughts: TMS Season 1 DVD

Anyone got an answer on this? I'm expecting fuzzy goodness too, and I'll be very disappointed if that box arrives from Amazon with an absence of fuzziness! Bad enough it'll be 2012 before it reaches me here in Australia -- additional heartbreak would be too much to bear! :)

    Countdown to Australian DVD's

Some places have them in stock already. Woo-hoo! I was happy to import the original R1 Lab release, but the fancied-up one was rather more expensive, so I'm really glad to see its Australian release so (comparitively) soon...

    Pigs in Space review

Hiya. I have to echo some of Cap Backfire's sentiments. I stumbled across this forum, and then the review... I've watched wave after wave of these figures arrive since the line started, and always thought "I don't quite need those... but they are pretty nice". But your Swinetrek...
