    Scarecroe's Files

And me too! I enjoyed viewing the classic Ernie and Bert skit that had Bert's brother Bart's visit. And I also really enjoyed viewing the "eleven cheer" skit from the early 70's. I and a few others had posted about this at this thread...

    What's your favorite letter segment?

Here's a brief letter a sketch. A guy (animated) is standing next to an alligator. The alligator is munching away ( I think he is eating the letters of the word alligator) while the guy gives a few facts about alligators. Then the alligator swallows the guy whole. Inside the gator the guy says...

    Funniest SS Moment

Oh very glad I could help out. Especially to a fellow Pennsylvanian. :)

    Funniest SS Moment

Actually I think the one Rattus probably means is the one where he chases after Guy Smiley. That was a famous and popular one and for good reason. :)

    Signature Muppet songs

I covered the screen after each of the character names to see what I would say first and then see if you agreed. Most all of them I agree. No question for CM, Kermit, Ernie, Lefty, Sherlock, and The Count that the ones you selected are their signature songs. Bert and Big Bird I also go along...

    Extremely obscure skits

You could be right, mike. Maybe there was no rope and she just had him by one of his feet. My best recollection had the gorilla a little farther away from her hand then if she held him directly. Plus, it seems like the gorilla would be more subdued if tied up a little. (But then again, that...

    Happy Birthday McFraggle

McFraggle, Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday today! (An alternative song to the twice above quoted more familiar "Happy Birthday to you" song. I heard this version a long time ago on an episode of "Ma and Pa Kettle". )

    Extremely obscure skits

I just thought of the gorilla chasing the lady sketch and searched for it in the forum in case it was brought up before. And here it is, in a thread by GeeBee. I agree these two gorilla skits were pretty bizarre. And I think fuzzygobo is right that they were probably made in 1974 since one had...

A couple of skits with anything muppets

Anyone remember the two anything muppets (one red, one green) going through the alphabet? I cited this one briefly once before as an example of a sketch that scared me as a kid. It's actually only the very beginning that got to me. There is a plain blue screen and a rather loud knocking or...

How's the weather where you are?

Yeah I'm inclined to agree with you there. If the heat is dry then a higher temp is still nicer to deal with. It's just that 113 degrees (45 degrees Celsius) sounds a little TOO high, despite the almost zero humidity. Probably why they call Death Valley, California the name they do. It gets over...

How's the weather where you are?

Looks like for MC users it's muggy muggy everywhere! And Philly is no exception. About 85 today but very humid again. And depressingly, the latest is that there's no relief in sight (guess it was wishful thinking eh, Docnzhoss? :) ). Every upcoming day in the forecast has a word like steamy...

    Time for Apologies

No I noticed you had been gone the last few days. I thought perhaps you went on a vacation trip, like That Announcer. Good to have you back.

    I made it!

Congrats on the highly esteemed Senior Member status! Me, I still have over 500 to go. To quote the inspiring classic Joe Raposo song, "It's a long, hard climb. But I'm gonna get there!" Also, great to see you (and theprawncracker and crazyminnyhaha) add your photos for us. (And more great...

How's the weather where you are?

Oh that's good news! Earlier today at work I heard the meteorologist say it looks like the heat and humidity will be with us (Philly) at least through the weekend and probably into next week. But maybe a little relief will be forthcoming. Right now it's 86 with a yucky 66% humidity.

Your Favorite Cartoons on Sesame Street

Yeah that one's pretty obscure. Don't recall seeing any later than about 1974. Here's one you'll definitely recall. The 3 cuckoo birds that each take a turn saying, "Cuckoo" at 3 o'clock. Then they kind of do some slapstick. Maybe they were like the 3 stooges. Well they were CUCKOO birds, of...

    Show me your world

Hey that's pretty nice to get to see some of the posters here like Vic, That Announcer, Together Again, and ryhoyarbie. Good job with the tutorial, Vic. Let's see if I followed the instructions well enough to do photobucket and the hyperlink for here. Me in early 2004 My niece (born...

What is Your Race and Religion?

I'm white and Christian (born again August 1989 at age 22). I'm non-denominational. I have no problem attending a church that is (such as Baptist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Methodist, etc.) I just wouldn't label myself as such. The main thing to me is a church that preaches the Bible and loves and...

    Favorite Animal Films

I had thought drum and guitar might have been the instruments in the 5 through 8 category. Forgot about the pick. Thanks for filling in the gaps. Yep that's the one. And the guy who says, "Octopus!" sounds like Luis, which mikebennidict concurred that it was. Also, cool that you know the...

    Happy Birthday Jerry Nelson!

Yep, Jerry is now 71. Bob McGrath turns 72 this year. One source I saw says Bob was born on July 11th and another says August 15th. I'm thinking August is the correct one because no one had a thread yesterday wishing Bob a happy b-day.

    Sensitive topic.

It's interesting you specify this ride. I've been to Disney World in Florida about five times. When I first went at age 6 this ride, simply called "Snow White", scared me badly because of that frequent popping out of the witch. When I was at Disney World again at age 11 the ride was now called...
