TV Alert: Sesame Street on Good Morning America September 19

I apologize for the confusion, let me try to explain...I'm surprised to see the show continue on despite the lost of Jerry Nelson. I mean I know it's a weekday show, but why not have a moment or two to grieve.

TV Alert: Sesame Street on Good Morning America September 19

I mean this in no offense, but does anyone think it's kind of too soon for the gang to be reunited like this ? I mean they just lost Jerry Nelson, and I can understand if they couldn't make it. :(

Who would you like to see as a guest on Sesame Street?

I would love to see Italian chef, Giada De Laurentils on the show, I mean she already has a daughter of her own and it would be nice to learn some simple Italian words and some simple Italian cooking that is proper for the show.:wisdom:

    Remembering Jerry Nelson (July 10, 1934-August 23, 2012)

You be surprised to find out that on their Youtube channel, Sesame Street has a section called Sesame Street: Remebering Jerry Nelson, which features almost all of Jerry's popluar and up to date Moments on the show, at least according to the various shorts that he did over the years...

    Remembering Jerry Nelson (July 10, 1934-August 23, 2012)

I was recently reading Tales of a Sixth-Grade Muppet series and seeing Jerry's Muppet characters in the book brought some tears into my eyes that day. :(

    Remembering Jerry Nelson (July 10, 1934-August 23, 2012)

You would think that Sesame Street would finally release that storyline on DVD already.

    Will the Count live on?

I wish Matt Vogel the best of Luck with Jerry Nelson's characters, as I'm sure he'll do fine with a lot of pratice. But I wonder if anyone on Sesame Workshop had an idea when it came to a scene with both Count and Big Bird, given that Matt does both characters ?

    Will the Count live on?

More like...he's kept in touch with the Major muppet works, unlike Frank Oz who occassionally comes in to help out. Jerry Nelson been through the Muppet family to the very end.

    Remembering Jerry Nelson (July 10, 1934-August 23, 2012)

I wouldn't truly say that, as most people do know of :batty: from Sesame Street, but not of Jerry's history of the character.

    Will the Count live on?

I would love to see a new Sherlock Hemlock, but then again it would be a bit too soon to do that. :( Also, it was nice to hear Jerry speak Sherlock's character, one last time.

    Will the Count live on?

Wait is this the same Matt Vogel that is the understudy for :wisdom: ? If so this could complicate things in the future if they ever wanted a scene with both the Bird and the Count.

    Remembering Jerry Nelson (July 10, 1934-August 23, 2012)

You know it's funny, even though we were never given a proper meeting between the two characters, at least Sesame Street finally allowed Mumford and Abby to meet together at last with Jerry voicing the role. Wow, I never realized how fun Mumford was on the show with Jerry voicing him until...

Same here, I can't even get the Count's voice out of my head as memories of Jerry's work flows through at the moment.
