I found this article that may have given out an explanation of why Joey left the show: http://www.vulture.com/2016/01/what-does-hbo-mean-for-sesame-street.html
Here's hoping he can come back for the 50th anniversary of the show. :(
I'm kinda of sad that we never got a full Pairie Dawn mets Abby Cadabby moment on the show. I mean just to see those two meet and clash with Pairie's need for organization and Abby's chaotic ways of doing things.
It would make a grouch feel happy. :grouchy:
Okay! It's one thing to bring in new cast members onto the show, but it's another thing to phase out the old cast.
This is going a bit too far if they're messing with a bit of Thanksgiving tradition. I'm kinda of glad I'm not watching the parade this year as the new news of Sesame Street's...
If all of this is true, then I truly worried for the future of Sesame Street.
I'm all for the changing of the guard, but not like this if it's disrespectful to the show's long history.
What's going to happen when the show reaches 50 ?
I just found out about this and I'm afraid for the show's new future on HBO.
I mean Joey had to be the last of both the main cast and crew in both writing and production to leave the show.
This truly puts Sesame Street into unknown territory now with very few people left to protect the show.
I know the Muppets had History with HBO, given the origins of Fraggle Rock, but to see Sesame Street come on HBO, especially given its history of shows on the network, just speaks a bit changing of times.
Plus how are they going to air the show on HBO, given that not everyone has the many mini...
First off, it was truly an adult themed Muppets, but it held some nods to the original source. I was a bit surprised to see Kermit the Frog of all Muppets...Cursing. I mean given his usual good nature style, you wouldn't see that coming, but it did.
It also reminded us of the emotional core...
Mrs. Brill deserved her retirement. Her work for Sesame Street will be missed.
Kind of feel bad that we never got to see how Prairie Dawn would react to meeting Abby Cadabby. :(
Still, here's the best wishes to a wonderful lady in Muppet history.
During Sesame Street's 40th anniversary, Kermit did made an appearance on the show.
Also, if that joke by Constantine is as close as a Sesame Street reference we'll get in the Muppet movies, then so be it.
Wreck it Ralph, wasn't that bad, I mean they did have a cameo of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sega's mascot, on there. They just didn't have enough for the Mario Bros..
I wrote this story in response to the recent death of John Henson of the Muppet family. It's a short piece that asks the question of how would Kermit dealt with the death of Jim Henson's son, just as he was so close to the latest Muppet movie.
It isn't much, but it's what I got in such a short...
I have to say, when I saw Tyler Perry on the show, he almost looks like Kevin Clash in some ways. Too bad it wasn't Clash performing Elmo in that segment.
I will not lie, I find this a perfect tribute towards Jerry's legacy on the show and in a way for the cast and crew to honor and say good bye to the man that taught the world how to count. :batty:
