The “What did you do today?” thread

Eye exam in the morning; then several hours this afternoon continuing prep in our garden plot. I pulled weeds (dandelions apparently think they're carrots), helped install some edging along one border, squeed over finding a tiny toad, and lugged bucket after bucket of mulch and spread it over...

    Pet Peeves

Shopping carts... hilarious. I'd have been tempted to gently, thoughtfully release all that poor trapped air in his tires... Re: brights. Adjust your side mirrors so they throw the light back in the driver's face.

    The Catherine Tate thread

Personally, I enjoy her comedic acting. I'll admit I haven't seen her work outside of Doctor Who, however.

    Dealing with depression and anxiety

That's good that you're supportive of your teacher, though. I'm sure she appreciates everyone who's offered a hug or a sympathetic word.

    Daring to Dream

Oh yikes! Yeah, it helps to learn on a closed course. I was terrified of driving my first few months. I've been in one fender bender (at 19, broke a toe), and had 2 cars totalled (neither of those was ruled my fault). But I love driving. Once you become attuned to your car, it's a wonderful freedom.

The New What Made You Frown Today Thread

At work, one of the main phone queues went offline, so we were asked to help out...but instead we were assigned to a queue which most of us have little to no experience working. Chaos ensued, but very little hilarity.

    The "Explain Your Avatar" Thread

Numerous changes through the years. Latest redesign has a curved nose, eyes that can blink, and a separate forehead piece for better scowling!

    The "Explain Your Avatar" Thread

Exploring Newsie's redesign used in "the muppets" and Disney Jr segments. Still cute, though I prefer his straight nose to the curved one.

Continued novel plot points in between cases at work. Now being leeched by a machine at the blud clinic. Tonight: drawing, if I'm awake enough!

The new What Made You Smile Today thread

Mods: apologies for crossposting, but I wasn't sure if everyone would see this in Puppetry. This marionette morality play by Erik Sanko and Danny Elfman is one of the most gorgeously creepy things I've ever seen: The Fortune Teller

    The Fortune Teller

My apologies if this has already been posted on MC; a search didn't turn it up anywhere here. Today I ran across this utterly gorgeous, well-performed morality play by Erik Sanko with music by Danny Elfman. The marionettes are deliciously creepy, the story entertaining, and the production as a...
