But the Kermit is 10% smaller than the Kermit puppet. So if people are looking at Rizzo next to Kermit and thinking he looks too big, then it is partly due to the MR Kermit being 10% smaller than the puppet, and people are comparing the replicas' scale to the scale of the puppets.
From what I have heard the reporter Kermit is suppose to be actual size where as the MR replica was 10% smaller, which would also account for Rizzo looking too big. As for Reporter Kermit cheapening the first replica, to be fair the first one isn't exactly skyrocketing in value. Pretty much...
You should know that the thread title is horribly misleading as I thought this was some sort of news about GMC being back in theaters only to find out it's nothing of the sort.
When you're in a contest for 10,000 dollars I think every detail counts. A missing eyelash may not seem like much, but it's part of the character detail.
It's most certainly Big Bird's eyes that are off, and the shape of the beak seemed pretty off to me as well. The actual body and structure of the character are spot on though.
I rewatched it last night and saw Rizzo on the Oscar cake. Neat idea, but I bet they didn't mention it because of legal issues and I bet he was dinged for including a character from another license as well. It's too bad that licensing issues kept that piece from being shown off.
Well, to me, the judges were like any other anything muppets. Not new characters so much as generic anything muppets that have always been apart of sesame street. Jellybean was different, as was holding the iconic street sign. Also, the guy is a veteran of the challenges while the person that...
Honestly, I think the Big Bird cake missed the mark. The eye placement was really awful. Yes, he did amazing work on the body of the character, but the face was just off. Also, the scene itself was a little "meh". I happen to agree that using a non-show muppet jumping out of the cake was odd...
To make it GMC era all they really need to do is change the tie and add the pants. The current reporter Kermit hat looks like the GMC era hat, but the one on the poser is way too big and doesn't fit right. Of course, if they are making an all new possibly bigger Kermit to go with the outfit...
Rizzo is amazing, it's perfect. If the final product looks like that I'm totally in. Kermit does nothing for me. For one, it's not the reporter Kermit I was hoping for. I was hoping for a GMC version with bow tie and smaller hat. Also, he has no pants and that just looks weird. Looks more...
Some of these were done as mini figures from the palisades line. The details were a bit soft because of the size but they are out there. Other scenes can be created with the figures, though it's not the same as a statue scene.
Are you talking about the scene in which Kermit is dressed in the outfit he wore when having dinner with Piggy? If so I don't think that was a mistake. Kermit's collar isn't part of his body, it's something he wears. I think they purposefully took it off him when dressing him in that outfit.
The wear come from people constantly reposing him and messing with him. If you poss him the way you want when you take him out of the box and then just leave him alone you won't have a problem. It's the people that take him on road trips and constantly repose him that are going to have issues...
But the whole reason for the sock nose was due to the fact reticulated foam breaks down over time. So, has this company solved that problem when MR couldn't?
Flash was chased and trampled by a gang of girls in an episode of the Jim Henson Hour.
I think Steve just liked to do physical comedy with his characters and lets face it, that means getting beat up.
