Sometimes the seller kringletoys on ebay has puppet blanks. They don't have any up now, but about twice a month they offer them. They are made from fleece. Good luck finding some.

    Casting in Polyfoam?

I have never puppeteered with a carved foam head. Are they harder to use than a hollow 1/2" foam head? (cemented together foam pieces) I would think they would be stiff. Is it a cramped space, or is that something you would just dig out larger? Just curious, I try to make my puppets as...

1001 ways to cover your puppet with fabrics

I was using blanket fleece and sweatshirt fleece. They have a nice stretch, but the fabric pills so now I try only to use anti-pill fleece. Felt is so hard to work with. I would try anything with a really good stretch before I would use felt. There is a fabric that I call robe velour. It is...

    PUPPET FABRIC - Help!!!

For blacklight fleece/ fabric http://www2.mailordercentral.com/oneway/ 60" x 1 yard for $15.00. My 19" puppets use 1 1/2 yards of fabric, but I could probably squeeze a smaller puppet from a yard. I haven't worked with this fabric, but it is the only blacklight fabric I have found after an...

    Important news on antron fleece

Does anyone know if Hampshire Mills is going to be the company producing this fabric? Is the fleece all gone now? I'd hate to pay $22 plus shipping a yard on ebay. Yikes!

    Puppet stage

I think everyone is different. I ordered plans for a pvc puppet stage from www.puppets-etc.com. It is a little stiff for me to fold, but I also bought my pvc pieces from home depot instead of from them. Maybe their joints fit together better. We used a denim curtain, but next time I would...
