Didn't believe it myself my friends, but apparently there's signs that the Henson company finally realized that it would be profitable to release the first series (9 episodes) on DVD.
The following is a link to where I found the information (Ebay if you could believe that). Apparently people...
I know, about a year or so I asked them the same question and I got more or less the same answer - that there are now current plans. I figured this time I'd bombard them with information showing that I DID know about the previous formats the episodes had been released in (Laserdisc in Japan...
I recently wrote to Henson.com asking if they would ever release the "Storyteller" episodes (both original and Greek series) on DVD. I pointed out that the series itself is very hard to find these days because of VHS degrading over the years as well as it being impossible to find a complete...
I really doubt that Labyrinth should have a sequel, they tried to do something similar with "The Neverending Story" and in my opinion, they fouled up royally. The Neverending Story had a quality that was never carried over to the other sequels that were done. IMO, if they tried doing a sequel...
Sorry, was thinking of Columbia House - Time-Life is just fine, but it's Columbia House that are the User-Unfriendly people. Sorry once again for the mix-up.
Sounds good, now if only the Henson company would release something like that, or if not them, somebody else......'xcept Time-Life, those guys take FOREVER to send you a complete set of anything.....1 DVD a month? I'd like to watch the all the episodes of Kolchak the Nightstalker or Battlestar...

Hey, I never said I might be 100% correct on all this info. From my own research online when I was trying to track down who had the rights for the Dungeons and Dragons series, TSR (the original owners) sold the rights to Saban prior to being bought out by Wizards of the West Coast. From there...
What Scarecroe said, :D
"The Making of the Dark Crystal" is one I've been after for a while. I already have "World of the Dark Crystal", 's a pity they're not re-issuing it with the original cover, IMO I thought it was a bit better, but that's me. :)
That's odd, according to what I was told, the guy says, and I quote:
"NTSC playable on American and Canadian VCR's. Excellent picture and sound quality. Brand New condition"
*shrugs* maybe they got converted.
I might be hated by this comment, but I seriously hope Disney doesn't buy The Henson Company. It seems like Disney has been slowly buying up the rights to several bits of children's television programs lately. From what I've found, Disney has already purchased Saban Entertainment Group (might...
Any word on if they'll be re-releasing another copy of "The Making of the Dark Crystal"? I've been trying to get that book for ages but when the average price is between $250-500 bucks, it's almost impossible to get.
