There were 8 kids killed over the weekend because of gun violence. Including a 9 year old at a mall when 2 groups of men decided to have a shootout. Black lives matter? How about they start addressing the daily black on black violence and murder. Far more blacks are killed by black on black crime than by crooked cops
do you believe black lives matter

Yes I do. But I also think black lives matter when it comes to domestic violence, gang violence, murders committed by armed robbers, you name it. But that totally gets ignored. We only see protests when a black person gets killed by a cop.
Like defunding the police and tearing down some statues are the answer. How about addressing teenage pregnancies? How about households where the father is absent? How about addressing the truancy rate?

The other day I watched a video where the person taking the video was upset cause it took 3 cops to arrest a 13 year old who stole from a nearby store. How about she get upset cause a 13 year old is stealing? Seems like her priorities are a little messed up

police are very much overfunded while things such as education, housing, and general community needs around the country continue to be defunded. there are also different ways to learn about history other than statues meant to glorify bad people

Why are Republicans now spreading this lie that Democrats (specifically Pelosi) are trying to completely do away with Easter and Christmas in America?

In Baltimore, there are 13 high schools. More money is poured into this public school system than anywhere else in the country, yet 60% of the seniors can’t even pass 6th grade math or reading levels. No matter how much money gets poured in, they are graduating kids with dismally poor skills. But they graduate them anyway (if they haven’t dropped out) and send them out in the world to fend for themselves.

So just pouring money into the bottomless pit of education isn’t necessarily the answer.

Charter schools seem to be a better alternative than public schools. There’s no easy fix.

You can’t afford not to fund police. In the past three weeks, Mayor DeBlasio of New York slashed the city’s police budget by thirty million dollars,. In the aftermath of the riots and looting in the past month, scores of police around the country in New York, L.A., DC, Chicago, and Atlanta have quit.

What happened in all of these cities? With a diminished police presence, crime spiked. Do you know who suffered the most? People in minority neighborhoods.

Take a look at what happened in Seattle. Originally they were protesting police brutality. That’s fine.
Then they took over six bocks and walled themselves in, declaring their own police-free zone. No need for police, we’ll police ourselves. Before it was over, two black youths shot dead.

Yes, there needs to be police reform. I couldn’t agree more. But take away the police, you’ll have massive spikes in murders, anarchy, and eventually vigilantism, because people will take the law in their own hands.
