Will the success or failure of The Muppets have an impact on the Dark Crystal movie?

Thread title. If one (former) Jim Henson property is wildly successful, will that serve as a gateway for his other creations? A Dark Crystal Sequel? A Fraggle film? What say yall?

The Fraggles maybe, POTDC no. In fact, unless true Henson fans come out of the movie hungry for any Henson style puppet project that know of the existence of such things as Labyrinth or Dark Crystal in the first place, the Muppets may just hinder POTDC. And for the same reason the first one didn't get the respect it deserved right away, because they aren't Muppets and they aren't doing funny or cartoonish, like the Muppets do. Fraggles could stand to benefit greatly from this film if it's a success since they're along the same lines, but something that's a darker, polar opposite would be a different story.

Good question. It may give alot of other Henson projects excellent DVD treatments.
