Does anybody know why the Children's Television Workshop changed its name to Sesame Workshop in 2000?

Well, a lot of the people actually thought the name of the company was "Sesame Street." And also, a lot of people never knew what 'CTW' meant.

I'm not really sure, but maybe it was that the workshop started to do more than TV, and their prime focus has been Sesame Street. The name was changed after Dragon Tales had been on air one year.

i have to disagree with you on that ssetta. at the end of every CTW show, someone usually a cast member would say so and so is a production of the Children's Television Workshop.
