Who's the Smartest FR Character?

Well so I asked you guys who was the meanest, the nicest the craziest and the most popular Fraggle in Fraggle Rock.
I bet you can handle this one!

Who do you think which one in Fraggle Rock is the smartest?

I think the Trash Heep is the smartest one, wiht Cantus as a closet secnond.

of the Fraggle 5, most likely Boober with maybe Gobo as runner up.

Well depends on how we define "smart."

Exactly.

I think Boober perhaps has the most "book smarts", because he knows so much about plants and medicine and laundry, which is a very diverse skill set. I don't know that any fraggle is entirely "street smart", but Gobo's the closest, with his exploration skills.

I think it's mokey because of her peace and well being. Her knowledge of art and friendship...Ahhhh.

I consider intelligence and wisdom to be separate things. I'd say Boober is the most intelligent based on all the knowledge and skills he has acquired. As for wisdom, that's Cantus. He understands the world better than any Fraggle (or Doozer or Gorg) alive, and seeks to guide those who are willing to listen.

I don't think any of the Fraggle characters (including the Gorgs, the Doozers, the Trash Heap, Philo and Gunge) are 'stupid', to be frank. The Gorgs are misunderstood and living their lives as they have every day. Junior Gorg is clumsy and slightly slow, but it's harsh to call him dumb. Mokey is artistically intelligent and creative, Gobo is thirsty for knowledge regarding foreign territory (as is Travelling Matt), Boober has the skills to run and maintain a household (I used to jokingly refer to him as 'the domestic god'), Wembley has a knack for making people love and respect him and Red is the streetwise Fraggle who knows exactly what she wants and how to go about it.

Plus you have the Doozers who prefer to live to work, and their elaborate structures suggest a love of aesthetics.

Cantus and the Trash Heap are both respected and admire in their imparting of wisom and advice, which makes them specialists in that form of 'intelligence'.

This ultimately proves that Fraggle Rock is Jim Henson's way of saying that all members of society each exhibit different strengths, and ultimately we need to network to survive.

Smartest pf the Fraggle Five, I would say is Wemble. If you really dig deep, you'll find beneath the all that wembling is a very smart Fraggle who has his head on straight.

If we're talking about anyone outside the fraggle five, my vote goes to Majorie.

I agree about Wembley. He is very sweet, sensitive, and willing to help anyone; but when he gets mad and he sets his mind on doing something, there is no changing his mind. One example that relates to this is in Wembley and the Great Race. At the end of the episode, after being told what to do and what he did and what he was supposed to do by Red and Gobo, he decides to run the race for himself and for no one else, even if it meant the loss of his best friend. There is also the time in Tune for Two where Wembley stands up for Cotterpin and refuses to sing in the Duet-a-thon, which he loves, if Cotterpin could not sing in it as well. He also stands up for his friends when they need him, so he is not only the smartest, but the most loyal.

Yep and for that very reason, makes Wembley one of my more favorites of the Fraggle five. (Although Red still beats him as my favorite everytime. )

Oh my gosh! I haven't thought of Collgoff's tough questions til' now. The smartest Fraggle of FR would have to be Wembley. Not only is he my favorite, he's caring and cute. Cantus only has his speech smarts for being wise, Gobo w' his street smarts, Boober w/ his "book smarts" and Red w/ her "sport smarts."

Even though Wembley is sensitive, edgy, sweet, and loving, he absolutely has his smarts.
