Me? I approve of Colbert and TV's Frank and Sam Neill and donuts. Maybe double on the donuts. As long as they're cake, not fluffy glazed blech. :news:

Nothing particularly WRONG with Dr Oz, he seems more legit than, say, Dr Feel or others of the pop-health-culture ilk...I just find him so aimed at overweight mundane cows that even when he has good information he's astonishingly banal. Maybe if he didn't try so hard for approval with the average uneducated person? Then again, I suppose they need health info more than most... meh.

WGN replaced America's Funniest Home Videos with that Patrick Warburton/David Spade show... which I had no idea has been on for over six years now, I only first heard about maybe a couple of years ago or so...

Rules of Engagement? Yeah, I know how you feel. I like Bob Saget better as a host than Tom Bergeron, though. Too bad Nick at Nite doesn't show AFV anymore, because they were the only ones that I know of that reran Saget episodes

Me too! I love the old Funniest Home Videos with Bob Saget.

I'm not saying Bergeron is bad, I just think Saget is better. And anything is better than the atrocious season of Daisy Fuentes and John Fugelsang

I never said he was bad either but I also think Saget did a better job with that show.

I think I must be the only one in the world who likes Tom Bergeron... or at least, I can't think of anyone else who likes him... and I really don't understand why no one would like him... I mean, it's not like he's ever been arrested for drug use, or been involved in a sex scandal, or made any racial slurs. What do people have against him?

EDIT: I think I just got ziffeled a million times.

I loved the set during the Saget era, too!

I didn't say I didn't like him; I think he's funny and enjoyable, I just think Bob Saget was a better host

    What's a ziffel?
    (terribly sorry for triple posting)

I find Tom Bergeron just boring; sure, he seems to be a decent guy, but he doesn't bring much to the table. He was better on Hollywood Squares when there were nine other people for him to work with. On AFV he's out there alone.

I think his humor is probably a little too cerebral for some... maybe, I don't know... he's made me laugh a number of times.
  13. jgidley Active Member

Which is a very tough thing to do!

I know. When I've done live TV work before, I remember I once got only one HUGE good laugh, and it, to me, really wasn't even THAT funny, but apparently everyone else in the studio thought it was hysterical.

Yeah, I think I'm funny, but I'd scale my humor as borderline Fozzie:o

Those are all very appropriate and sane responses! So many things I don't get! How did the neighbor not see the mother looking over her children? Surely the police knew it was a safe neighborhood so they'd be no harm, right? And c'mon! Kids used to play outside without their parents and didn't come back till teatime! Yes, I know the world isn't always safe, but aren't we just getting a tad paranoid?

:attitude:: Never! The world is full of sick, sad weirdos out to hunt America'c children! As a nation, we must tighten our defenses on our children, our future, our dignity, our-
