It's turning out to be a pretty Muppety holiday season this year. In addition to the new Lady Gaga holiday special airing on ABC, Turner Classic Movies will telecast The Muppets Take Manhattan on Thanksgiving Day from 6-8pm. I'm not entirely sure, but this will probably be the first time TCM has aired the movie since 2007 (correct me if I'm wrong on that).

Incidentally, two more Muppet Christmas specials will be airing the week afterwards; the (aforementioned) Muppet Christmas Carol on ABC Family, and It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie on the CW. I tell 'ya, the amount of Muppet specials airing at once usually doesn't reach this capacity.

MCC and IAVMMCM are movies, not specials.

But I had no idea ANY Muppet production was ever broadcasted on TCM ever. Still, this is very much exciting.

Awesome! I was hoping TCM would finally start treating the Muppets like the classics they are.

It has been announced that TCM and Disney are teaming up to show on Time Warner-owned Turner Classic Movies (TCM)channel called “Treasures From the Disney Vault” that will air classic Disney films, shorts, documentaries, and episodes of TV series including “Disneyland” and “Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color” : http://www.tcm.com/disney/

Fingers crossed we will see Disney owned Muppet stuff, maybe we should write to TCM via "Suggest a Movie" site: http://www.tcm.com/suggest-a-movie/index.html
