This is a new take on an old game submitted by Vic Romans
------------------------------------------

I have an idea for a game called The 6 degrees of Jim Henson. Members would take a famous person they met or know and try to link them through that to Jim in 6 steps or less. Here's my example
I knew Jason Mewes from the infamous Jay & Silent Bob who voiced his character Jay in Clerks The Animated series in 1 episode starring James Woods
Woods starred with Al Pacino in the movie Any Given Sunday
Pacino starred with Marlon Brando in the movie Godfather
Brando starred in The Score directed by Frank Oz
Frank and Jim need I say more.
I did it in 5 steps. The way I figure, everyone has either met someone famous or knows someone who has. This is a way members can share their experiences with famous people, share if they've actually met Jim or others from the Henson Co., and finally, show members they may have been closer to Jim then they think. I personally would love to see the posts to this game. Thank you in advance just for taking the time to read this.

I dont quite think this one will work, but we'll see!

1. I met Nigel Mitchell from Disney Channel UK when I was 10
2. Disney Channel (duh) is owned by Disney
3. Disney bought the muppets from the JHC
4. JHC was founded by Jim Henson!

Yay!!!

Ron Howard was on The Andy Griffith Show with Jim Nabors
Jim Nabors was on an episode of The Muppet Show with Jim Henson.

Obviously mine was done at the top, but I'm wondering if anyone has met Jim in person, that would be an exciting post.

In less than 6:

-Bill Paxton in Indian Summer with Elizabeth Perkins.
-Elizabeth Perkins in Big with Tom Hanks.
-Tom Hanks in Splash with Daryl Hannah.
-Daryl Hannah in Roxanne with Steve Martin.
-Steve Martin in TMS and TMM.

BTW Kevin, thanks for bringing another thread like this back, was kinda hoping for it.

(In the version of this game where you try to link actors, I find that Steve Buscemi is always your best bet with any modern actor)

Speaking of Steve Buscemi...He was in Fargo with William H. Macy
William H. Macy was in It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas in which Steve Whitmire was a performer.
Of course, Steve Whitmire worked with Jim Henson on projects including TMS.

Actually, the basis of the game is to link an actor/singer/performer you know or met, and use them as a catalyst to link yourself to Jim. I did one example using Jason Mewes, but I'll use another that links me relatively quickly.

When I went to Disney World a few years back, I was exiting the Haunted Mansion ride, not paying attention while talking to my cousin. I walked right into someone... someone, big. I got knocked over and when I stood up to apologize, I realized I had just been floored by Hulk Hogan. I said hi, yadda, yadda, yadda and thusly, had a unique meeting with him, SO:
I met Hulk Hogan
Hulk Hogan was in MFS
Take your pick of a puppeteer that worked on MFS w/ Hulk
That puppeteer most likely worked with Jim.
Got it? Try and link yourself to Jim, not some random actor, and hopefully you'll see a much closer connection to our hero then maybe you thought you had before! I'm hoping someone will post that met Jim (or Frank, Jerry, Dave, Richard, Steve, Bill, Eric etc.) first hand.
