The problem is finding someone who can do all these things-sculpting, moulding, engineering and sewing in the one place.Specialist care has to be taken in all areas and it is not as simply as it may seem. You also need an eye for detail to copy something to make it visually identical.Just something as simple as glueing on eye pupils can throw the whole character off if they arent put in the right spot or wrong size.

Only the Artist prototype is done(however this is now missing).Once a factory/workshop is found, they will have to start over again and make a engineer prototype/sample.Whoever makes Fozzie will have a bible of instructions, but wont have the benefit of having a Fozzie in front of them to study. They will have to relie on pictures.

Hold on, I thought three photo-protos were made? One visual sample, one to be taken apart for parts to be replicated at the factory, and one for promotional use?

I'm not really asking, but curious, was the parts bear already destructed for patterns without having a factory signed up?

Ok so the visual sample is missing? Where's the promotional bear?

Lastly, what do we want here with talk of plastic heads, and the like, just a statue that will look like the Muppet, or a 99% to exact replica of the photo puppet? From what it seems these people including Terry are trying to make these Muppets with the original materials used in the originals, and with exacting standards like the Henson stitch. That's why these are collectors peices that cost money, not toys or stuffed animals. Frankly I want the price to be high as a collector. So that it appreciates, and is exclusive to the 1500 of us that can afford it.

Also like I've said in the past. I find it ridiculous that it has not even been 8 months since we got Gonzo in our homes and he's being sold for 50%+ off now?

Yes, 3 Fozzies were made-one promotional one, which was suppose to stop in The States,
and 2 others to go to the factory for study. One has definately been destroyed, presumably the other as well(from the first factory that attempted to make fozzie, which is the second factory to make the photo puppets after Kermit,Gonzo and Animal). As new people are now looking after Fozzie, they are trying to work out what happened, incase the promotional Fozzie was also sent off to China since.
The talk of plastic was only raised by Bear Man as an option to foam, for Fozzie's inner skull.

Right, Ok I do have my facts straight still in my head. But when you say destroyed, I take that as thrown away. Do you mean taken apart for use of the factory?

I was merely commenting that imo any other matierals being added just to ease the production of the replicas for the sake of likeness, (cause at the end of the day that's what were really talking about) is not what I am paying for. I am paying for a photo puppet that is as close as possible to the ones used. If not what are we buying?

Had faith in MR to come through for us from the beginning.

Personally, I'd rather the Fozzie poser look right than technically be right, but I think we can have both. It should be remembered that posers do differ in some ways from their puppet counterparts.

I'd also hope for them to be as affordable as possible. I'm not encouraging compromising cost cuts to be made, but at the end of the day I'm not looking to own something considered collectible and prohibitively expensive. I just want a real-life Fozzie in my home. I’d really like these items to be affordable to fans rather than mostly collectors. Most fans would be avid collectors if money was no object, but especially in this day and age – it is.
