That's a blow. He worked on Mad since the "Tales Calculated" original format.

And, yes...he did some of the earliest Sesame Street artwork, all the while doing the artwork of Sesame Street parodies in Mad.

And of course, he was the artist who gave us the cover for the Weird Al TV compilation album:

Jack Davis NAILED the early Sesame image. And MAD- between him and Sergio Aragones, would be inconceivable without him.
