Definitely HensonCon. It has a nice ring to it. It's very clear what it's about. And no chickens! :concern:

Hey, so I just made myself a TinyChat account. Unless I'm misreading things, looks like temporary chat rooms that will go away once we're done with them. One person will have to start each chat (not necessarily the same person every time; we'll just have to know who it is we're looking for in each instance), and the rest will have to find that person and join. And I guess if we want to keep a record of our conversations, the someone is going to have to copy & paste them & save them to a file? We can work with that.

When do we want to try for our first chat? I know for myself, evenings/early nights are craaaazy. Late afternoons are usually pretty ok. Mornings are kind of hit and miss. And other than maybe tomorrow morning, I'm won't really be available this weekend. If you guys want to chat without me, I'd totally understand, heh.

I only have time to chat on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and sometimes Fridays....

I'm not gonna really be available this weekend either. I probably won't even get to this logo thing till Monday. Evenings during the week are better for me.

okay I have a forum on www.hensoncon.webs.com the only catch is you have to sign up for a webs account to use it. Its just a free service for dseigning webs so it doesn't hurt to sign up.

Are we making Hensoncon all one word? Or do you mind if put "Con" in the next line? Of the logo?
  10. DannyRWW Well-Known Member

I say one line with a capital on H and C (Unless you are using all caps) ...but it should say the Jim Henson Fan Convetion is smaller type somewhere I would think
  11. Pinkflower7783 Well-Known Member

You know I'm drawing this out right? Lol!
  12. DannyRWW Well-Known Member

Sorry applying computer talk to artistic design :o oops.
  13. Pinkflower7783 Well-Known Member

So I'm almost done sketching the first draft with muppets.
The second one I will do tomorrow and that one won't included muppets just maybe a banjo, lilypad, rainbow, etc.

Cool looking forward to seeing this...the forum on the website works by the way. Tested (after much trouble) but it does work.... the problems I had were just with e-mail for me (I wanted to create a new e-mail address and I did but it won't let me change it at this point) but the forum does work and signing up for a membership is pretty easy.

Okay I call this the possible lawsuit logo LOL...I kept it simple with just three Muppets. Of course using the ones Jim performed and I tried represent the "puppet" strings but not sure it worked out well. And my "C" looks like "G" so I'm not exactly happy with this one but just letting you guys see that I am working on it. More to come Monday hopefully! :) I think it's okay if it's not TOO perfect I mean The Muppets are all about craziness right? :p

I should note I really don't like markers much I prefer colored pencils cause I can work with colors better. But I felt marker makes it stand out more.

Don't worry if you think there are things you can improve on. Youre certainly welcome to do so. I like the basic design a lot though, so if you feel like redrawing it don't worry about changing the design too much. That being said I like it the way it is. I wonder what imagary (if any) you could use if you don't use the liscensed characters?

I have another idea and different lettering I'm gonna try without any muppets
