Two days ago we become aware that Live365 is in the process of downsizing both staff and likely soon the removal of all personal broadcast stations (which includes Muppet Central Radio). For them, this is a result of the new royalty rates which were introduced for 2016-2020 on December 16 and consequently some major investors leaving the company.

Here is an article with some more info if you are interested...

Live365 has not yet made any formal communication to personal broadcasters beyond a version of this release on their website, but our understanding is that all personal stations (which includes Muppet Central Radio) will likely go VIP only in January eliminating all "free" listener availability for the station. Only the much more expensive professional stations will remain accessible to free listeners. It's also possible the entire Live365 network could go off-line at the end of January if additional investors are not found.

In preparation of this change likely happening, we've already begun looking into other avenues for broadcasting Muppet Central Radio to fans around the world. Hundreds listen every day and we want people to continue to enjoy Muppet Central Radio for years to come. If we move the station, we will let you know how you can help with the transition.

We will provide further updates as soon as possible. Thanks for your understanding and continued support. Feel free to discuss this news in our Muppet Central Feedback forum.

Keep believing, keep pretending...

Live365 informed broadcasters of the following news on Friday January 15 via e-mail. Live365 said, "We are sad that we are closing our doors at the end of this month. There are always possibilities that we can come back in one form or another, but at this point in time, January 31, 2016 is the last day that Live365's streaming servers and website will be maintained and supported."

Many of you have reached out to us publicly and privately about Muppet Central Radio and we appreciate each of you greatly. You are just as passionate about the music as we are. We'll make an announcement about the future of Muppet Central Radio before the end of the month. Thanks for your understanding and continued support.
