I was wondering what are the most rare, most wanted sketches that people want to be uploaded on Sesamestreet.org?

The "little Jerry and the Monotones" song Surprise.

Little Jerry in quotations, since the group was a precursor to the band, and was yet to be officially named. Plus, the Jerry puppet was completely different.

Here are some of my favorite "missing clips"-

Bert and Maria taking an imaginary helicopter ride.

Krazy Kat cartoon about love

Fonzie and Richie from "Happy Days" learn the "cool" way to count to ten.

I'd love to see any of those again. I used to have Grover's "Still we like each other" on my wish list, but I'm glad to say it is now available to view on sesamestreet.org. So there's always hope!

i'd like to see more sign language clips with Linda. including clips that aren't even about sign language, but just where she's participating in the conversation and Bob is translating. it's been a while since there has been a real portrayal of sign language in action as a language and part of everyday life, rather than just a clip of how to sign a specific word.

While I certainly think it's OK to discuss what we'd like to see it's also good to discuss what already exists as well.

I already created a thread in the Classic SS section for the old clips which amazes me that hasn't tuned out to be as busy as the youtube thread there.

I'd like to post some but for whatever reasons you have to type up a lot and I've tried it and have had trouble.

Don't know what it's set up in such a way.

Some of my most-wanted clips:
  • Baker #1 (especially this one), #4, #6, #7, #8, #9
  • eggs and cookie film (the site has the sketch where Ernie and Cookie Monster do a simialr act, which is odd because that was a response to this one)
  • sketch that followed "eggs and cookie" (there were actually two Muppet sketches produced for the sake of following that film) with Cookie Monster and a weird hook-like creature
  • Ernie makes a friend
  • Kermit's radio (I doubt any green grover clips will be uploaded anytime soon)
  • Jazz #8 and Ernie and Bert: sandbox game
  • Kermit and Grover: Yes
  • Yes and No song with Judy Collins, Biff, and Sully
  • Roosevelt Franklin's "Same Sound Brown" poem
  • Roosevelt Franklin's friends poems "Trying", "Still Trying", and "Keep on Trying"
  • The Anything-in-the-Whole-Wide-World Prize Game
  • Ernie and Bert: Alphabet Test
  • Muppets demosontrate some, none (or was it more?), and all (though I doubt any orange Oscar clips will be uploaded)
  • banana in Ernie's ear part 3 (why is this third part so rare?)
  • Jim Henson's letter claymation segments from the first season
  • Ernie skips
  • Kermit and Grover: Nosewarmer Salesman
  • Lefty shows the alphabet in his trenchcoat
  • Lefty recites the alphabet to his boss
  • any Teeny Little Superguy skecthes not listed on Muppet Wiki
  • Ernie sees Mr. Snuffleupagus (I've read about it, but would like to know for sure that it exists)
  • Oscar tells Danny DeVito how to get a bus to stop
  • One and One Make Two
  • Telly: Headwarmer Salesman
  • Muppet R Tag (a first season sketch)
  • Mad
  • Henson 1-2-3-4-5!
  • Cheer Eleven
  • the original Rubber Duckie
  • Pinball Number Count #5
  • Ernie and the candy salesman
  • Grover: T-H-E
  • Ernie and the magic sunglasses
  • Little Bird: Imagination game on the street
  • Any of the James Taylor performances
  • We Coulda
  • Biff and Sully share chocolate milk

I second the Bert/Maria imaginary airplane ride - this was always one of my favorites - just the way Bert looked in his goggles - Maria constantly yelling "look out for the cloud!" and that way too cute and perfect kiss Maria gives Bert on the nose at the very end timed to the tag music.

and the clip i totally have wanted to see again for decades - a song about Surprise sung by the street cast (it also had Grover in it) that's not been shown forever not only due to the young age of the cast but it also was before Will Lee passed away - this was the most amazing song that just went in all sorts of crazy directions - doors opening to brick walls, Groucho glasses, lots of pies in the face (it ended with the cast singing "Surprise!" as a flower on Big Bird's chest turned out to be a final pie that flung itself towards the tv screen.) This would probably be my holy grail of old bits i'd love to see again!

And although i'm willing to bet it's on sesamestreet.com (and if it isn't it should be) i would love to see the offical youtube channel put up the classic "Visual Thinking" routine between the hipster and the square talking about shapes ("Do you know what a square is?" "I know WHO a square is!")

...and more than just adding clips, i wish more than anything they would add a search feature where one could look up clips either by year or even better the episode number it first appeared in.
