Mirrormask soundtrack reviews

Just a heads up. Soundtrack.net recently reviewed The MirrorMask soundtrack, and thus far it doesn't look so good.

My gut feeling? This movie is going to tank. The trailer wasn't that great or impressive, i guess the music is lacking in the same department. and when you mix the two. . . yuck.

anyways, don't take it to heart, its' just a personal observation. I had reservations about this film since frame one, and wasn't impressed at all, the Henson company hasn't done all that much since Jim's passing, so it doesn't surprise me.

I see this film as an experiment. As such, it can't really fail. If the Henson company had planned this as a big ol' Lord of the Rings-type blockbuster then it would have been made available to theatres over a year ago. As it stands, it seems to be a modest budgeted fantasy film with no shortness or creativity and originality. I'll await it's unveiling with no expectations other than the thrill of seeing another Henson-produced fantasy.
