Lynne Thigpen (Luna) Died

Lynne Thigpen, the voice of Luna on "Bear in the Big Blue House", died yesterday at the age of 54. The cause of death apparently isn't known. There's an obituary at www.nytimes.com.


The Goodbye song will never seem the same now...

Her singing was my favourite part of Bear. I loved her Voice it was gentle but powerful at the same time.

I have never watched Bear, but I knew her as The Chief on the PBS show from a few years back called "Where in the World is Carmen SanDiego?" (You may remember that rockin' acapella theme by Rockapella.)
I had no idead she could sing! Perhaps I'll catch her in reruns of Bear. She will be missed.

i didn't know that was her! she was so funny on that show, oh this is very sad, Good bye Lynne Thigpen i hope your dancing on the moon now.
