For those keeping score, Kelley Oien Perez was named Vice President, Creative Affairs was The Jim Henson Company today. Does anyone know anything about her?

Kelley Oien Perez has been promoted to Vice President, Creative Affairs for The Jim Henson Company. The announcement was made by Lisa Henson, Co-Chair and Co-CEO (with Brian Henson) of The Jim Henson Company, to whom she will report.

In her new role, Ms. Oien Perez will continue to develop preschool and children's programming for both television and direct-to-video productions in animated and live-action formats. She will also work closely with HIT Entertainment on pre-school projects for the co-production agreement recently announced by the two companies. The first of these projects is Frances, currently in pre-production and based on the best-selling Frances Treasury series of books.

"Kelley's promotion is a true reflection of her immeasurable contributions to The Jim Henson Company," said Lisa Henson. "Her creativity, insight and experience in the world of television is essential as the Company continues its mission to create quality children's entertainment."

Before joining Henson in 2001, Ms. Oien Perez spent seven years at Nickelodeon in both development and production, during which she developed and produced the series Noah Knows Best and associate produced The Secret World Of Alex Mack. She was also the development executive for the pilots The Proud Family and One Hundred Deeds For Eddie McDowd.

I've heard the name before but knew little about her, sounds like she has a good grounding for the job. Also pleased that Lisa seems to be taking the lead in managing the company day to day as co-chair/CEO now, i think that has been much needed for a long time.
