This hit me today at the most random time and I just had to write it down the second I got a chance! This is dedicated to all my Muppet-loving friends. And I'd like to give a shout-out to Julia (Puckrox) because I talked with her earlier today and we talked about Muppet poems and I told her that I have a few of them and she said why not share them with the world? And after that convo, I wrote this and once I get a chance, I'll share this poem with the world (she meant by video). I'd like to note that I do borrow some of Madonna's lyrics from the song Holiday because it is what half-inspired this poem. Enjoy

One part nostalgia, one part listening to too much Madonna,
Holiday,
Taking one of those, that's what I really wanna,
Just one day out of life,
That I could play back over and over,
And it would be just right,
I'd visit the house in Hensonville on 44 Bronson Lane,
To hang with the boarders, on this my holiday.
Don't think back to Nicky, 'cause he's been in the slammer since he and those chicks tried to frame Miss Piggy!
I'd start off this day without a plan,
Because nothing is set in stone,
Either way, I wouldn't be alone,
I'd find Rizzo and we'd do biceps curls with mouse traps,
Then I'd chat with Clifford about all things cool and phat,
Next the good doctor would tip his hat,
Let me sit in and listen to the band jam,
Even offer me to sing a song with them all while knowing that holding a note is something that I can't,
But can't doesn't exist,
We've all got a song in our hearts and that should do it,
I'd give it a try,
Once we'd finish up I'd be outdoors, SPIKE!
We've got up a volleyball net,
It's Scooter's turn to set,
The ball would get away from us but we don't fret,
'Cause thanks to Muppet Labs tech,
It'll come right back !
The secret is that inside of it there's a boomerang fish,
Getting hungry now, but I'd rather listen to the prawn dish it out and then hand it back,
Wocka, Wocka, we're right on track, a comedy show,
Uh-oh, here come the hecklers in tow,
Even more madness?
Let's go, go, go!
With Robin's help,
I'll find a Fraggle hole,
I'd say hello from this place, outer space...
Up on the roof, stare at the stars.
At the end of this day, here we are.
I'd be happy to say it was the best day ever,
Never to be topped,
A day filled with fun and madness,
Two forces that throughout the day never stopped,
Gonzo suggests we jump off the roof for some thrills,
It's no big deal, like spilt milk,
He dives nose first and as always he makes it, never doubting that he wouldn't survive,
Reminding us that no matter what, magic is alive!
It's deep in our hearts, our souls,
Like music it rolls on, Solid Foam!
Wishing now that I could call this brick house my home, have a room inside of my very own...
Next thing I know, Kermit turns to me and goes: "Come back again sometime" And he means soon, That when I know, I'm always welcome here,
This my holiday is something I will always hold near and dear,
Make some time, take a break from the race,
'Cause even just one day could bring you to this magical place.
You know, over the rainbow?
Not too sure about that connection,
Someday I'll find it, we all will,
It'll make sense one of these days,
But for now, I'm content wondering, but why wonder?
The frog is green, he's been that way since '76 and he'll never change, he doesn't wanna,
But if you had a lovely pig by your side, would you really wanna?
Probably not, that's just some food for thought.
Shh, don't tell Chef!
Anyhow, there goes my holiday, it's done for now,
But I'm going back there someday...
