I just started working on a 1:6 Hoggle statue:
Comments always welcome!
What kind of materials do you use for this?
I find it amazing how you are able to put so much detail on such a tiny sculpture.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, you are very talented.
(Though it helps you're doing the stuff I enjoy seeing.)
Looking forward to see your progress on this one.
I use polymer clay, a lot of dental tools and brushes.
Plus a lot of reference photos and most important: PATIENCE
Your work is really great!!
(like the ones you did before)
Your talent is really adorable!!
Very nice job!
Absolutely incredible! Can't wait to see the finished product!
Jeeze man, It's tiny!!
Like that hair you added in that first photo..
..Actually, have you thought about using hair for your sculptures?
Little bits of fake fur would look amazing on your stuff!
Wow, that's just fantastic! You're certainly brimming with talent.
Awesome work, as always!
How much do you think you'll sell casted copies for in the future? I'm definitely signing up for this one!
Looking good mancant wait to see what it looks like when its done. Any plan on makeing maybe two hoggle book ends then like the ones that were in sara's room
The detail is super! It'll be perfect when you paint in the pupils.
THanks! I will paint it when it is completed and moulded
I don't know... it depends on size/material. I think I'll also do a base... not sure yet.
Finally a small update...
Just added his ears:
Love it, love it, love it! What a great talent you have.
Looking better and better!
This is amazing! It's so life like and accurate yet in such a small scale.
Excellent sculpt! As someone who performed on Hoggle - eyebrows - and stared at his face for many an hour I can tell you this is pretty spot on. Well done.
Thank you! That's great to hear! Did you take any photos during shooting?
I still need good reference...
I don't think I've got any of Hoggle but I'll take a look. You don't tend to go around taking too many pictures when you're not suppose to. I know I've got some of me doing a Riding Goblin - oh, the pain - but I thnk that may be it.
I'll get back to you after I've had a look.
