Getting an avatar

Can some one please tell me how to get an avatar? IM DESPERATE!!!

Google to find a picture. Save it to your computer. Go under edit profile and you would see on the left to change your avatar. Others told me how, it's been a while and as you can see it really wasn't that hard. If you need help just pm me.
