This has already been discussed here:

http://forum.muppetcentral.com/showthread.php?t=43351

but I figured a new thread title was necessary to ensure that people find out about this.

This Saturday, 7 May 2011, is Free Comic Book Day! Local comic book stores across the U.S. will be giving away comic books created especially for this day, which is a yearly event.

This year one of the books is a flip book with the Dark Crystal on one side (and Mouse Guard on the other), published by Archaia.

You can find out more here:

This is a one-day-only event—go to a comic book shop Saturday if you don't want to miss out.

As an extra bonus for those in Los Angeles, Meltdown Comics will have two Skesis on display (on loan from the Jim Henson Company). They'll also be playing the movie.

Get This Comic!

Okay, I finally cracked the free one-shot Dark Crystal comic from Archaia today and let me tell you - It's fantastic! I was never a fan of the Tokyo Pop Manga, but tried to give it a chance. This new offering exposes the multitude of errors from the Beetle-produced manga monstrosity from Tokyo Pop. Theirs looks like crap-on-a-stick compared to this gorgeous work. The art, the story, just everything seems to be perfectly in place. I'm excited for the coming comics and hope that it will inspire the feature film production. Great stuff. And it's lead by Froud! :scary: If you haven't picked this up it's worth buying second hand. Just a little taste but totally worth it and even better than the Fraggle comics.

From what I have seen it really IS FANTASTIC!
This is how a Dark Crystal comic should be done!
Does somebody have scans of all pages?

I have to get a new scanner, but there are some pics floating around online. Not many, but some.

I have to shamefully admit 2 things.

1) I did not get a copy of this comic at all, and it ran out as SOON as I finally got to the comic stores

2) I kinda was looking forward to Inspector Gadget a LOT more.

Is there any possible way ANY of anyone has an extra (like a third or fourth copy) and missed out on last year's Fraggle Rock Freebee wanna trade one?
