Hey there everyone!!

Long time no see...

Well.. I finally made a Calvin doll to match the Hobbes doll I made for my Hubby's Birthday last April. Our Hobbes doll has been allllllll alone; sitting on top of our dvd bookcase for a whole year, so I thought he might be happy with his lil' buddy Calvin at his side. So I went to my local Joann's Fabric/Craft Store and bought all the fabric I needed (luckily they had flesh colored Polar fleece) It took me about 2 weeks to make Calvin, and let me tell ya... he was a LOT easier to make than the Hobbes doll was. Hobbes took me a few months to make, mostly because he was the *first* ever stuffed animal creation I ever made.

Anyway, after I finished the Calvin doll, I gave him to my Hubby Ray-Ray as one of his Christmas gifts, so now he owns a complete set of Calvin & Hobbes dolls. Yes they are home-made looking, and maybe slightly crooked in some areas, but I think those little imperfections make them unique, and maybe even better than if they had been mass produced in a toy factory. The creator of Calvin & Hobbes will NOT allow ANY merchandise of his characters to be made, so this is the reason I had to hand make these dolls. The only good part about that is, my Hubby can say he has the ONLY set of Calvin & Hobbes dolls ever made. I might turn them into puppets or maybe just start over with new ones and turn those into puppets... what ya think?

Now for the photos.....Hope ya guys like 'em!! :concern:

Great job on your dolls! Would you be willing to share your pattern or sell it?
