BOO! The "What Scared You Today?" Thread

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

My laptop table lost its bearings today, and my computer went straight down, hit the floor with a loud clank (landing on the metal frame work)... now it's starting to act funny (like automatically going to sleep every few minutes when it's not supposed to).

I'M FREAKIN' OUT! I AM FREAKIN' OUT!!!

For a minute, it looked like I was the next victim of people's Yahoo! accounts being hacked, but looks like I'm okay...

Man, I don't know WHAT is going on with Yahoo! lately, but it's like in the last few months or so, four different people or so (including BobThePizzaBoy) had their accounts hacked or disabled, and it doesn't even look like the big Y! is doing anything about it.

Anytime they randomly throw in those commercials with Kirstie Alley dressed up like a fairy.

Not so much today, but within the last four or five months or so, I've encountered about five or six other people who strangely share my same curious fascination and appreciation for the classic Charley Douglass laugh track, when I thought I was the only one (and so did they).

The last few pages of the Muppet Nightmere thread sure freaked me out.

Just the idea everyone is predicting that Amanda Bynes is on her way to becoming the next Lindsay Lohan. *Tsk-tsk-tsk*

I was in the car with my parents and I heard this weird buzzing noise. I look down and see this HUGE black bug on me.

Of course, I'm terrified of bugs bigger than a pencil eraser, so I start screaming, my mom starts screaming, and my dad just looks dumbly at us and eventually pulls over (or more like just stops in the middle of the road in the turn lane) and my mom jumps out and knocks the bug off of me and gets it out of the car.

I wasn't going to stand in the middle of the road to examine the carcass, but this thing was huge, black, sort of looked like a dragonfly, and was the size of a baseball...

Yeah...I was totally freaked the rest of the car ride

Now, THAT is freaky. I'm skittish around bugs myself.

Skittish is an understatement. I have a full blown phobia of bugs. If one touches me, I start to panic and cry

I'm like that with needles and shots. Doctors appointments are NOT FUN.

I'm the exact opposite. I actually venture to say that I like shots.

You... like... shots? *shudder*

Honestly, I kinda do. I guess it's sort of like how people like thrill rides...

I guess a lot of my tolerance to shots is due to the fact that I was getting blood draws once a month from an early age...which are 80 times worse than shots...

You get an adrenaline rush from it?

Yeah, I heard they are much worse. That's pretty funny actually, you liking it and all.

Wow, that's pretty out there. I still get a little freaked out when I have to get my blood drawn or something. But I guess to each their own with that sort of thing (I love brushing my teeth).

My fear of shots is a weird one. I don't mind the shot itself. My fear is that the needle is going to break and get stuck under my skin Needles themselves don't really bother me.

What's interesting is that getting my blood drawn really freaked me out. It wasn't all that painful from what I remember, but I remember keeping my eyes closed and gripping onto the side of the chair...but I'm not squeamish with blood, so I don't know why it freaked me out so much

Not really, I was more going for the fact that sometimes thrill rides give you a bad feeling, yet afterwords, you kinda liked it. It's weird.

You heard wrong. They are a ton worse...shots are nothing after them...

Pfft...this was the topic, so we aren't really muffining. No guilt in this discussion.

On the other hand, brushing my teeth is one of my least favorite things on this earth.

It's the minty feeling that gets it for me. I like having fresh breath.
