Apollo's Pad (WARNING: Uncensored Puppetry for adults)

Yes, that's exactly what I am mentioning! I just mixed up the broadcaster. It was not a whole season, though. Just about six, 11 min. episodes.

Apollo's Pad (WARNING: Uncensored Puppetry for adults)

I may be mistaken with the actual channel (could have been Teletoon), but the episodes were created and aired.

Disney XD orders live-action puppet comedy "Crash And Bernstein"

Although this is Muppet Central, there are many aesthetics that constitute "a puppet". I for one, will give the show a chance. Disney doesn't need to make all puppet productions into Muppet productions. I think there are many people in the world (and on this forum) that could enjoy this show...

Apollo's Pad is now on Teletoon!

The online stuff is good, but the stuff for television is even better. My wife and I watched it last weekend and she is a good gauge on shows, since she has (IMHO) a great sense of humour. She was laughing the whole time and we still are making references to the show. I hope fellow Canadians...

Hey all, For any fans of Apollo's Pad, they just signed a deal with Teletoon Canada, and are airing 11 min episodes every Sunday night at 10:30 pm EST. Warning: This is NOT for kids. By the same people who did Mr. Meaty, but with humour more in line with Robot Chicken. You can...

Stage Height Options and rolling around

Hi David, Most of the shoots I have puppeteered for, have had boxes with casters on them. They work very well. They key is to do your homework and try to find quality casters. There are some out there that are very quiet. If I were you, I'd go for the sitting down option; for a variety...

    New to Puppet Making.

Ha! Ha! I just gave my Grade 5 (5th Grade, for my American friends) students a test on the definition of that very word. They bombed it and didn't seem to think anyone would ever use it in daily talk. I guess they were wrong. Sorry, back to the discussion. Foam...breaking down...

Need Help with Latex and Foam

Please note that I did not say that adding paint will make it thicker. Instead, I said by not adding more water or runny paint, you would avoid it from being thinner. There is a big difference. The point of my messages was that you need to use a spray glue as a sealer and then build up the...

Need Help with Latex and Foam

Elmer's glue dries hard and brittle, so be careful with that idea. Again, sealing with a spay glue before applying the latex is the way to go, IMHO. Any time you add a runny paint to latex it will make it thinner. You can try adding thicker acrylic and only make it as runny as you choose to.

Need Help with Latex and Foam

You most definitely need to seal the foam before applying the latex over everything. One way to do this is by using a spray foam adhesive (e.g. 3M Super 77). Then, as Buck said, you need to apply a think layer of latex first and then you can build it up thicker and thicker. If not, not only...

    The Feebles

I believe "the show" is referring to Dotboom. It is an online show that he created and filmed in his basement. It is NOT for kids, but you can check it out here if you wish. http://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=njOPDedHq6E Again, it contains mature themes and humor and is NOT intended for...

How do you give puppet fur a shag-style look?

Agreed. I only use them if I have no other resort. E.g. I've checked every store near me and found nothing.
