Look, do you think 5-year olds RUN SS?

It takes adults to create a fantasy world of any kind. Kids can only invent, but they don't have things that many of us on this board have worked very hard to get.

training
resources
writing skills
artistic skill
the ability to work as a team
materials
money
marketing
and you can get a BA in puppetry (and I think a masters, too), not to mention other degrees that puppeteers use like theater, communications, and english.

Go home! You're exhibiting the worst kind of meanness - the kind where you make fun of things people care about because you don't understand, and then claim you're just in search of understanding.

i don't JUST love the Muppets. i love all puppets! well, maybe not Cousin Skeeter. i mean, him and that girl are the ONLY puppets on the show, and they go to school, and walk down the street, and everyone treats him like a human. i know, i know, that's the way it was on sesame street but that's a kid's show AND the muppet movies, but Cousin Skeeter's the show that make it look weird to have humans talk to puppets. but there are other puppets i love - Crank Yankers, Mr. Floppy (Unhappily Ever After), Today's Special, Under The Umbrella Tree, Mr. Dressup puppets (dressuppets, as i call them), etc.

hey guys i'm a fan too

just not on the crazy level that you guys are. i'm not saying that being crazy over the muppets is wrong, it's just something i have never or ever thought i would have found.

have fun with your muppets obsession, i'm not knocking, i just can't believe it is all.

you guys are kind of like trekkies or those people who line up 3 months in advance for a star wars movie

thats cool, to each his own rock on

Not for a Star Trek/Wars film; but a Muppet movie (sans Elmo in Wherever...), yeah, at least 1 month. Tent and all that.

Plus my Miss Piggy teddy bear.

To set the record strait, I do not watch Sesame day and night. I watch it once and a while, and even then, there's nothing else on TV except that Jerry Springer doofus. Even when I do watch it, I don't even sit through a whole episode. However, when I have the oppertunity to catch an old episode on Tape or something, I will. I found an old tape I made of Charlie Brown specials, and at the end there was an old 20th anniversary Sesame Special. I got such a kick, because it had Donahue (sp?), Barbara Walters, Ralph Nadar, Mc Neil (of McNeil and Lerher), and Pee Wee Herman. I do not obsess about ep[isodes, I obsess over memories.

I am a twenty year old art student, and this sttuff constitutes as my guilty pleasure (for Some it's porno, for some it's Springer). My other guilty Pleasure is the Rocky Horro show, but let's not gert into that.

I am facinated by puppetry, and I've always wanted to be a puppeteer, as well as a cartoonist. In fact, Carol Spinny is not just one of the people I admire, but I go to the same school he went too. I always have kept a copy of "How to be a Grouch" because Carol wrote it and drew it (quite beautifully I might add). SO, I watch Sesame ever few days because of the Puppetry alone.

In case you want to know, I do enjoy Spiderman, Comics, Cartoons (especially the 1960's Ralph Bakshi version), and the Movie (though I didn't like Toby McQuire much, The Green Goblin stole the movie!)

Sorry if we seem obsessive.

i didn't like the green goblin too much

i had trouble with the green goblin because he found out where my aunt lived and also about mary jane. i felt bad that harry osborn lost mj, but he just wasn't right for him.

the green goblin gave me a tough time also because he was so **** strong. i was shocked to find out that he was actually norman osborn, and i was sad to see him die. he was a good man who couldn't ccept rejection.

but i thought i did a good job as spiderman.

Who are you calling obsessive?

OK, kiddo, you've lost all right to point fingers now!

Sorry I haven't seen your movie - didn't think they could improve on the original. I heard it rocks, though. Just hard to watch a Spiderman who's at least ten years younger than me.

Gotta find a board with senior citizens on it. Y'all make me feel old.

OK, back to topic - it's January!!!

Any more word on when season 34 will begin? Is there anywhere where this type of information is posted - couldn't find it on the SS website.

Hey, as long as Telly is one of the main stars on the street you know it will be good. Now if only I could get my d*** antenna to work for PBS, gah!

I sure hope new SesameStreets seasons lasts forever on tv!
