I was told 1983 was his year of death, not 1982.

According to IMDB,he passed away Dec. 7,1982. I bought the Atari system off of Ebay, along with 48 games.

The sad thing is that must have been right before Mr. Hooper died, because Pac Man came out in 1982 and that was the same year Will Lee died. To think he would only be able to enjoy Pac Man for a short time. This is sad. I'm gonna cry
>< Is it really rotten that I find this SO funny?

You can think it's funny if you want. But it's kind of sad seeing Will Lee in that commercial knowing that he died probably just a few months later. I think Mr. Hooper was a cool charachter from the old episodes Iv'e seen that were on Noggin a few years ago. I just wish he was on the show during the time that I was watching it.

Actually, I've heard that Pac Man came out in 1980, but you're right that it was pretty close to the time he died.
The arcade version of the game came out in 1980, and I think the home Atari version was 82. Maybe 81, but not the same year as the arcade one, for sure.
