No, but the response different.

"OHH! This happened in California, the state with the strictest gun laws! And the shooter was a Muslim woman! Whaddya got to say about that, libtards?!"

Maybe not, but the fact remains that it doesn't matter who the shooter is, the problem that these shootings are still a regularity in this country but nobody (NRA, Republicans, white males) are doing anything to prevent it.

But you know how Trump supporters are saying these shootings are being staged by Democrats to further push their anti-gun agendas for political gain? How do we know it's not Republicans staging these shootings to push their pro-gun agendas? Because notice whenever these shootings happen, their response is always the same: "See? If the teachers or even the students had guns of their own, this wouldn't have happened!" How do we know these shootings aren't just commercials for the NRA to sell guns to Americans?

We don't. Because that's just stupid. Just like their conspiracy theory that the shootings are staged, the dead bodies are dummies, and the survivors are crisis actors.

I thought you meant like acting it out.

No, that's actually what I mean - that's what they're saying. They say the deads are dummies, and the survivors are "crisis actors" that the Democrats hire.

That previous remark was sarcasm - because you've got conspiracy theorists out there who also say the moon landing and 9-11 were all staged and/or hoaxes.

Pundits think that voters were disillusioned last election. Just wait until 2020 when half of Trump's voters are appalled by his lack of effectiveness to get anything done. The dealmaker. Meh. Not so much. I'm hoping for a sea-change in the midterms. New candidates not yet infected by greed. Not that it won't eventually happen. I know, I have a sunnier disposition than the likely reality. :stick_out_tongue:
Sea change? Not at this point

According to the latest Rueter's Poll asking who would you support in the congressional races based on party alone:

As of the week ending May 20 2018:

Republican candidate: 40.7%

Democratic candidate: 34.5%

No matter how you slice it, as of May 20th, the Democrats message of hate Trump, divide the nation, support illegals, Russia investigations, washed up porn stars, taking away guns, . . . . does not seem to be working.

Will the Dems figure out a winning strategy? Or will they cling to their conspiracies and division tactics?

It will be fun seeing how or if these numbers change over the next 6 months.
